The wedding music finally sounded and the great doors of the church opened, revealing the bride and her father. Wooyoung's eyes could look at one person, and time seemed to have stopped when he took his first glance of her. She was so very beautiful in that snowy white, simple but elegant dress. Her smile was so gentle and angelic. Wooyoung could feel himself falling deeper in love, if that was even possible, with Kim Taeyeon, who was about to become a Park. He couldn't help but smile, and he felt like he was the groom instead.
Then, reality dawned on him as Mr. Kim and Taeyeon walked past him. Mr. Kim then passed Taeyeon to Leeteuk, the groom today. Leeteuk was a trainee teacher in both Taeyeon's and Wooyoung's high school. Wooyoung has suffered great regret for not being able to confess to Taeyeon and tell her his true feelings, even when he had many opportunities to. He wished so hard that it was him instead of Leeteuk receiving Taeyeon's hand, and that he was the one who was smiling down on Taeyeon now.

Taeyeon smiled at Leeteuk when she reached him. She couldn't help but sneak a glance to her left, where her crush of 20 odd years stood. Being his best friend for 20 odd years, she was usually able to tell his emotions at a glance: Whether he was happy, sad, angry, depressed, disappointed. It was as easy as reading a book, as she knew him too well. However, she was not able to read his face for the very first time that day. But there was one thing she knew, and that is: he did not look okay to her. As she gazed at him in concern, she was momentarily shocked when he looked up and met her eyes. She stared into his familiar soft, brown eyes, the very ones that she fell in love with ever since a long time ago. She thought she saw pain and regret in them. He stared back into her eyes, and saw a reflection of his pain on her face. Taeyeon looked away quickly, her happiness draining away by the second. Even though Leeteuk had treated her well and loved her, she couldn't reciprocate his feelings wholeheartedly. This was because her best friend, Jang Wooyoung had stolen her heart for goodness knows how long.
She braced herself, and tried to shake off all thoughts of him. She had made the decision to marry Leeteuk and she had made up her mind, regardless of whether she would regret it or not. After all, she had already decided to give up on Wooyoung, that fateful day when she turned 20 years old. She had never been a person to be wishy-washy over decisions and she was always confident that her decisions were right. But one decision had baffled her most - the decision to marry Leeteuk. She wasn't so sure this time, and it frustrated her greatly.
"Mr. Park Jung Su, would you take Ms Kim Taeyeon as your wife? Do you promise to love her, cherish her, honour her and protect her, forsaking all others and holding only unto her?"
"I do," Leeteuk answered immediately without a moment of hesitation, before smiling at Taeyeon, whom he, with no doubt, loved with all his heart.
"Ms Kim Taeyeon, would you take Mr. Park Jung Su as your husband? Do you promise to love him, cherish him, honour him and protect him, forsaking all others and holding only unto him?"
Taeyeon looked down momentarily, took a deep breath and replied with the two words which made Wooyoung's wound in his heart break open once again.
"I do."

The room in the church was decorated beautifully for the event. A long table covered with cream colored silky tablecloths was placed at the front of the room, and there, the newly wedded groom and bride sat happily. The grand chandeliers lighted up the room to give it the perfect atmosphere. The room, unlike its empty state on normal occasions, was full with people dressed formally and chatting away happily at their respective tables. The bride and groom received congratulation wishes repeatedly and attended to the guests, making sure that they were taken care of. Taeyeon looked around the room and searched for a face she was all so familiar with. Her eyes lit up and she spotted the person she was looking for at the corner of the room, by himself.
