Viktoria's point of view.....

In Germany....

I was at a cafe reading the children book that Hikari had sent to me. I thought of a perfect illustration for the book. She had sent me the series for me through email. I had made notes about the illustrations in a notebooks so that I wouldn't forget. I would make a preview sketch of the illustration as well.

I missed her and her baby. I knew that she was doing very well. she would send me little video clips of Kumiko. She recently sent me a clip of Kumiko rolling over. It was so cute. I was glad that Kumiko was going up strong and healthy. I did exactly what she said to the box. She didn't need it to remind herself of him.

I looked at the time on my laptop. "I should be getting home," I said to myself. I was putting my laptop away when a man walked towards me. I recognized the guy. {Kunimitsu Tezuka.} Hikari's ex-boyfriend and Kumiko's father. I had seen pictures of him. Hikari showed me. I promised that I wouldn't tell him about anything if I ever saw him.

"Excuse me. Are you Viktoria by any chance?" he asked me in German. "Yes," I said. I could see that he was struggling to say something. "I wonder if you could help me with something," he asked. "What do you need help on?" I asked. I could see in his eyes the worry. "Do you happen to know where I can find Hikari Ishida," he asked.

{I knew it.} "No why?" I asked curiously. {Why does he want to know where she is?} "I went to her apartment and the manager said that she moved. I was wondering if you knew where she was. She told me that you were her best friend," he said.

I kept a straight face. "I'm sorry, but I don't know. I haven't her from her for some time now," I said as convincingly as possible. I saw him thinking of something. Then he looked at me in the eye. "Thank you anyway," he said and walked off.

{I need to call Hikari.}

Hikari's point of view

Tokyo....

I was walking home from the grocery store. I had to bags on each hand and had Kumiko strapped in front of me. My back ached a bit. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I stopped walking and opened the phone to answer.

"Hello?" I said. "Hikari its me," I heard in a bit of a panic. It was Viktoria. "What wrong?" I asked. "Your ex-boyfriend walked up to me and asked where you were. Don't worry I didn't tell him a thing," she said. I sighed in relief. "Thank you," i said to her. "Waaaaah," I heard. "Um....Viktoria," i said as I tried to calm Kumiko down. "I know. Take good care of Kumiko. bye," she said and hung up.

I hung up the phone and looked down out Kumiko. "Kumiko whats wrong," I said. I bounced up and down and embraced her. "Its ok. Its ok," I said to her. I stretched my back a bit. It really was aching. I quickly made my way home.

{I hope that he doesn't find me soon.}

The next day.....

I was enjoying my day off from work. Sales of my best selling books were going well in Japan. I was looking at the sports magazine on the internet. I saw something that shocked me.

Kunimitsu Tezuka returning home

I read the article. He was returning to Japan after making himself a success in Europe. He wanted to continue his training back home and hopefully play matches against strong players across Asia. I knew that he lived in Tokyo. Tokyo was a really big city. There is a big chance that we would never meet up.

I stayed positive and continued to live my life.

Two weeks later....

It was the day of my book signing. I was thrilled to see so many people lined up at the front of the bookstore. I walked inside and sat at a table where I would be signing the books. Hitomi allowed people in and one by one, I signed their books. Hitomi would watch Kumiko for me as I did my book signing.

I met many different people. I had teens walked in who skipped classes just to see me. I had people who skipped work to see me as well. I told them to not do it again. I didn't want them to get in trouble by their superiors. I even had mothers come in with their children. I adored seeing the little kids. I even signed their books as well.

A few hours went by and I was nearly done for the day. My hand was aching. I needed to sign one more person's book. I saw the book in front of me. "Name?" I asked as I signed the book.

"Tezuka Kunimitsu," I heard.

I looked up in shock.

"Tezuka," I whispered.
