All of them turned and sprinted their way through the long large hall. They make it to steep steps that were partly broken.

Maeve was the first to jump across, helping everyone else when they jumped over. She almost loses it when she sees the part where Legolas grabs Gimli by his beard.

"Not the beard!"

She shakes her head to keep from smiling, now was not the time. As Aragorn and Frodo make their way over the group continues on.

Maeve slows as they finally make it to the narrow bridge. Legolas quickly passes her up and makes his way across. He turns around and motions for the others to follow. As the rest make their way across quickly Gandalf comes up behind Maeve.

"Quickly! You must cross!" Maeve's legs lock and she stays planted where she was. Now was definitely a bad time to bring up her fear of heights.

Legolas stops walking as he hears Gandalf shouting at someone. He turns and sees Maeve standing completely still and staring at the bridge in fear. His eyes widen and he runs towards the bridge, easily crossing it a second time.

"Maeve you've got to cross." He grabs her hand and tugs slightly. She shouts and pulls her hand from his.

"I.. I can't Legolas." Maeve breathed out quietly. Legolas sighs and quickly picks her up bridal style. She shrieks terrified and hugs his neck tightly, shoving her face in his shoulder.

"I'm going to take care of you Maeve. Don't worry." He shushes her as she whimpers out of fear.

Legolas makes quick work of crossing the bridge. Not staying on it any longer than necessary. He simply continues on up the stairs with Maeve in his arms. Gently he goes to set her on her own feet. Maeve gasps and tightens her grip on his neck, refusing to let go.

Legolas sighs in defeat and fixes his hold on her. Maeve snuggles deeper into Legolas and grips his shirt tight in her right hand on the back of his neck. He almost lets a small smile slip at her clear attachment to him.

"Gandalf!" Frodos worried shout brings Legolas back to the present. He watches as the balrog approaches the slim bridge. Causing it to crack as it steps onto it.

"You shall not pass!" Gandalf broke the bridge causing the balrog to fall into the cavern below the bridge. Gandalf turns in victory too early as the whip the balrog used came into view and wrapped around Gandalfs ankle. The whip causes Gandalf to fall, he grips the edge of the bridge just barely.

Gandalf looks up to see everyone staring worriedly at him.

"Fly you fools!" He shouts and lets himself drop.

"Gandalf no!" Frodo cried out as he watched Gandalf fall to his death.

Arrows start flying towards them as they make their way up the stairs. Aragorn roughly grabs Frodo and pushes him up the stairs. As the Fellowship made their out from the mountain, the light blinded them. The sun was shining brightly as they all stumbled out of the Mines.

Frodo and the other Hobbits all fell to their knees and cried for their fallen friend. They were not as used to loss as the others were.

"Get them up! We need to keep moving!"

"Will you not allow them time to morn?!" Boromir questions loudly.

"Not when a whole legion of goblins will have swarmed this mountain side by nightfall. Get them up!"

Boromir and Gimli take to getting the Hobbits on their feet. Legolas would have helped but he still could not convince Maeve to let him go quite yet. It seems she was holding on for dear life in her sleep.

They pressed on further until they finally came upon the Lothlórien woods. As they continued on through the woods Legolas quickly became aware of the elves watching them.

"They say there's a great sorceress in these woods."

Legolas tunes Gimli out and comes face to face with an arrow. He stopped abruptly and adjusted Maeve in his arms. The elf in front of him tilts his head at Maeve. Thankfully Legolas had pulled her hood up earlier to keep the light out of her face.

Legolas listens silently as Aragorn talks to Haldir in Elvish.

"Speak words we can also understand!" Gimli shouts out in frustration.

"We have not had dealings with the Dwarfs since the Dark Age." Haldir speaks confidently.

Gimli insults the elf in front of him and huffs out his nose. Haldir simply stares down at the Dwarf unimpressed. He bites back a retort, not wanting to start an argument with the Dwarf.

Haldir focuses on looking over their whole group. Finding four Hobbits, one Dwarf, two men, and the Prince of Mirkwood who was also carrying a finely figured person. He approaches the Prince first.

"Prince Legolas." He bows his head and offers a polite nod.

"Haldir, always a pleasure."

"Yes indeed. Now who is this that you're carrying?" Haldir moves to grasp the hood of the figure. Legolas however steps back avoiding Haldir's hand completely.

"She's sleeping currently. Her name is Maeve and I can and will vouch for her." Legolas raised his head and stared Haldir in the eyes. It takes a second for Haldir to reply to him, his eyes glazed over slightly.

"Lady Galadriel is awaiting your arrival. Though she speaks of ten in your company?" He regards Aragorn with his question.

Aragorn sighs heavily before answering the elf's question.

"Gandalf The Grey traveled with us. However he was lost in the Mines Of Moria." Aragorn lowers his head at the remembrance of a lost friend.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Please come with me." Haldir leads them through the Lothlórien woods to the trees which held their people. He lead them forwards towards two figures standing in the distance.

Lady Galadriel stepped forward and greeted everyone telepathically.

Legolas felt Maeve twitch as Lady Galadriel greater them. She must have included Maeve too. However the next time Legolas felt Lady Galadriel in his mind Maeve did not stir.

Lady Galadriel lead them down a path towards their own tents that which they could stay for the night. Everyone got settled and took advantage of the much needed rest.
