Maeve gets to work immediately as Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas set off to find Merry and Pippin.

She swiftly rips Boromir's shirt from him and flips him onto his stomach. He groans through his unconscious state.

She had broken the arrow off earlier so now it was much shorter. She light touched the arrow and Boromir cried out in pain.

"This isn't going to be a pleasant experience for you bud." Maeve sighs and stands to her full height. She'd need a few things first.

She made it back quickly with kingsfoil and she had found some medical supplies in Boromir's bag. She moved Boromir and set him up on his side. Keeping him from falling to either front or back she pushes the arrow forward through the front opening.

Boromir's eyes pop open and he screams in pain. Maeve kindly made it quick however and he was left losing consciousness again.

Keeping him on his side she patched his wound quickly. Though there was still a bit of an issue. How was Maeve suppose to extract the poison from his body? Wait! That's right!

Maeve remembered doing a class project once on The Hobbit. It was about other healing methods . She had decided that it would be funny to do elven healing. So she memorized the elf Tauriel's healing chant from The Hobbit.

Maeve finished with Boromir quickly and gently set him on his back. She took a deep breath and set her hands on his chest.

Menno o nin na hon

i eliad annen annin,

hon leitho o ngurth

Maeve feels her body sway forward as she finishes the chant. She watches as Boromir's breath evens out and his whole body relaxes.

She smiled slightly before her eyes roll back and she falls straight onto Boromir's stomach. At least she'll be somewhat comfortable.

Hours later Boromir felt himself waking up. He was stiff and his body ached. As well as the weight that was settled on his stomach.

Boromir looks down to see Maeve sleeping, using his stomach as a head rest. He shifts a little remembering why it was he was passed out in the first place.

His hand goes to his wound. It's wrapped really well and he feels ten time better all ready. Once again looking to Maeve, he can only assume she saved him. Everyone else was nowhere to be found.

Boromir sighed and got himself comfortable to lay there for a bit. He would make sure Maeve at least got some proper rest after helping him.

It didn't take long for Boromir to feel the tell tale shift of Maeve waking up. He watched as her eyes fluttered open and she took a deep breath, slowly letting it out. She rubbed her eyes roughly and then sprang forward.

Maeve had nearly forgotten about Boromir. Her head whips around and she comes face to face with a sat up Boromir. She scrambled closer and take note of his condition.

"How are you feeling?" He smiled and went to stretch his arms a little. Feeling a stiffness in his right arm but nothing too bad.

"I am feeling much better. Thanks to you I assume?" He asks while standing to his feet.

"Yes, I'm glad you're doing better." She side hugged Boromir from his left and went to repack up his bad she'd gotten into.

Boromir stood awkwardly, he didn't expect her to hug him. It was the last thing he expected from the elf. He also didn't expect the hug to be extremely warm and comfortable, and it wasn't even a full hug! Something about the elf was so very comforting, and Boromir would be lying if he said he didn't like it.

Maeve passed Boromir's bag to him after she packs it. Picking up her own and staring towards the other boat.

"I told Aragorn we would meet him in Gondor, and a day has already passed." Maeve ushers him into the boat and makes sure he is comfortable.

"I can do the rowing you know?" Maeve shakes her head.

"You won't be doing much till we get you to a proper healer in Gondor."

Boromir sighs and doesn't retort. There probably wasn't anything he could say to convince her anyways.

The ride across the river didn't take long at all. Maeve had Boromir up and out of the boat and waking in front of her. The walk to Gondor would be a few days travel for them.

Legolas could not stop worrying about Maeve. He did not enjoy being so far away from her. He'd rather keep her in his sights.

They had finally managed to catch up with the Uruk-Hai but it was too late. Riders from Rohan had already taken out every last one of the orcs.

"You're free to look around, but I'm afraid we burned all of the corpses." Éomer of Rohan spoke to Aragorn quickly before riding off once more.

Legolas marched forward behind Aragorn and Gimli. Looking for any signs of the young Hobbits.

He watches as Aragorn grows upset and kicks an orc helmet through the grass. Though something must have caught his eyes because he suddenly goes off in the same direction he kicked it.

"They went this way." Was all Legolas heard as Aragorn started swiftly walking off.

Legolas and Gimli make quick work of catching up and then they too realize what Aragorn found. Footprints the size and shape of Hobbit feet.

Seems Merry and Pippin were alive after all.

They take off into the woods in search of Merry and Pippin. They scoured the forest for hours, not once finding either Hobbit.

They were close to giving up when they stumbled upon a bright light. Aragorn was the first to continue towards it, followed by his two companions.

As the light faded out their jaws dropped in surprise.

"Gandalf!"

"Mithrandir!"

Three shouts were heard, two from the human and dwarf and one from the elf. The wizard tilted his head. He had forgotten his name it would seem.

"Gandalf you were dead." Aragorn softly said. It didn't make any sense.

"Yes, but I've been given a second chance it would seem. I am now Gandalf The White." He bows respectfully and returns to his full height. "Now we must go. War is soon to be upon Rohan, they will need our aid."

Gandalf leads the three back out of the forest and watched as they mount their horses. He swiftly calls for his own, Shadowfax, and leads them on.

They must go fight for Rohan.
