The Agreement

Chapter 16

"Oh my goodness Osiris and Shiva, they have gotten so big!" Esme beamed as she sat on the front porch and two cubs came running up to her with Osiris and Shiva behind them. "Hi Jaxon and Harley." She kissed each of them on the nose. They piled on top of her making her laugh whole heartedly. The men were inside taking care of important matters but smiled hearing her laugh like that. They wanted her that happy all the time and promised they would do whatever it took to make sure it happened.

Just as she got the cubs settled down to where they were both laying in her lap they heard a noise and turned to look as a truck pulled up into the driveway. "Osiris Shiva, get the cubs," Esme said since she didn't recognize the vehicle. Shiva came over and nudged the cubs into the fields and Osiris came over next to her and let out a warning roar at the man who emerged from the truck.

Seconds later she heard multiple footsteps come up behind her. She felt hands go around her waist and from the smell of Irish Spring she knew it was Owen.

(I didn't expect to find you all the way out here in the middle of nowhere, Prince Raven.)" The man said looking around then taking a step back when Osiris stood and let out a deep growl.

"Невежливо говорить на другом языке, когда другие не могут понять, о чем идет речь, сэр. Nevezhlivo govorit' na drugom yazyke, kogda drugiye ne mogut ponyat', o chem idet rech', ser. (It is rude to talk in another language where others can not understand what is being said, Sir.)" Esme said frowning at the man.

"I would be very careful how you address her," Corey chuckled, "She is our wife after all, so she is technically the princess and your boss."

"Da," Raven glared at him. The man paled as Raven frowned. "What you doing here, Ivan?"

"King Nikolai sick want you home," The man said nervously. "Need help home."

"Why Mother no call or send Alex?" Raven looked at him suspiciously. "No make sense."

"Queen take control, Alex stand guard," Ivan shrugged. "Worry need you home."

"Mother call," Raven frowned, "no make sense."

"Yevgeny," Esme said softly touching his arm.

"Prince name Raven," Ivan glared. "No call birth name."

"Excuse me?" Esme asked angrily. "Look I may not understand all of Russian cultural but last I checked whatever a wife calls her husband is between her and her husband and that is anywhere even Russia. Last I checked, my marriage certificate said I was married Yevgeny Ravenstahl, Owen Blackbourne, Axel Toma, Brandon and Corey Henshaw, Nathan Griffin, Victor Morgan, North and Lucian Taylor, Gabriel Coleman, Marc Weiland, Dakota Lee, Silas Korba, and Sean Green not whoever you are. In all the months I have been married to Yevgeny he has had no problem with me calling him that. If you have a problem with what I call my husbands then I suggest you keep it to yourself because last I checked since I became married to him that made me the Princess of Russia and I highly doubt my mother and father in law would like the fact that you, someone I don't even know is being rude and criticizing what I call their son. Also on top of that, with me being the princess that means I can fire you and there is nothing you can do about it. Oh, and one more than whoever you are," Esme glared, "if you keep being rude to me, Yevgeny's wife, you won't have to worry about what he will do to you, all I have to say is one word and Osiris here will get to test his hunting skills."

Osiris took a step forward while Raven chuckled as the man bumped into his truck.

"I have to say I like this side of you Darling," Owen whispered into her ear as she fumed. "Just try to remain calm so you don't trigger an episode." She nodded and took a deep breath then slowly let it out. "Good girl." The warmth coated her again, helping her relax into his hold even more.

"Raven," Corey said hanging up his phone. "Mother and Father are fine, Ivan was kicked out and blacklisted after he was caught working for the enemy. Alexander said he thinks Ivan's here to try and gather information on our wife and possibly—"

Just then Ivan pulled a gun out and just as she blinked she was yanked away, there was a loud roar and two gun shots then screaming and everything went black.
