Male Reader x Neytiri(Normal Avatar)

Chapter 3

Y/n POV

I wake up and it's bright out. I sit up and open the blanket like vines. Once it's open I jump up and grab the tree. I had to really jump to just grab it. I then pull myself up, I then look to the side and see Neytiri standing there looking at me.

Neytiri:"Come, you will learn to ride a pa'li." She says

Y/n:"A what now?" I ask

Neytiri:"A pa'li, a direhorse is what you call them." She answers

Y/n:"Oh. Alright." I respond

She starts walking down the spiral like column, I follow after her. After awhile of doing that we get to the ground and a lot of the people look at me. Neytiri continued walking so I follow. We walk through the tree they call home. While we're walking Maya, a few other viperwolfs, and the thanator start following as protection. After awhile we get to a clearing with the direhorses' and they're giant. When I walk up to one it's about as tall as an elephant, maybe taller. I look at Neytiri.

Y/n:"I can't get on, I can't even touch it's back standing up." I say

She thinks for a few minutes looking around. She then looks at me.

Neytiri:"You have to ride something to learn our ways. What will you ride?" She asks

I look at the animals around and my eyes stop on the thanator. I smirk and walk over to him.

Y/n:"I'll ride him." I say patting his side

She raises her eyes in a questioning way. She walks up to me and looks at the thanator, then back to me.

Neytiri:"How will you ride him?" She asks questioning me

Y/n:"I will make a saddle that I can lay on his neck and back. I will connect his antenna like things with a handle in to middle to guide where he is going." I say

Neytiri:"They are called the tsaheylu, the bond." She says

She looks at him, she then moves her hand to touch him but he growls. I tap his side and he lowers down. I get on his back and he stand up. I softly grab Neytiri's hand. I then bring it up to his snout to smell her hand. After he smells it I let go. She slowly moves to pet him and he let's her.

Y/n:"Is it alright if I ride him?" I ask

Neytiri:"Show me you can ride him." She says

I lay my body on his neck and my legs pushing on his front shoulders slightly. I lift my upper body to see over his head. I grab hold onto his tsaheylu's.

Y/n:"Run." I say softly

He takes off at an alarming speed. I find it a little hard as I'm losing my grip but somehow manage to stay on. He runs past many direhorses and Na'vi people. After a little bit of running I get used to the speed. I smile as we pass many things.

Y/n:"Alright, let's go back to Neytiri, but take some time." I say

He slows down, then he turns around and walks back. I sit up on his neck and let go of the tsaheylu's.

Y/n:"What do you think of her?" I ask him

He adjusts he head to look at me with one eye. Then he turns back forward.

Y/n:"Yeah, I think she's somewhat nice. I can tell she doesn't trust me. Hopefully they all can." I say

He gives off a few grunts and small growls.

Y/n:"No. You don't need to eat her. In the meantime what shall I call you?" I ask

He stops moving and lays on his stomach then looks at me.
