Chapter18-Paredes' nuptial

"Hey girl! I'm back. I got your favorite, stawberries from Baguio." Mina entered my room.

"I told you knock before going in. I'm allergic to strawberries." I said.

"But you said you love strawberries?" he asked.

"I love nothing. And I started hating strawberries when I started hating the world, so stop insiting me about liking anything."

"Okay big baby. Ang dami mong sinabi. More stawberries for me then." he said.

"So why are you in my room?" I hate people entering my room.

"Bakla bakit ganto sa kwarto mo? Parang kalalabas lang ni Lucifer? Hahaha."

"Are you gonna tell your business or I'll fucking kick you out?" I said.

"Supladita ka talaga. Haha. Well, I just wanna drop this.." he handed me a broadsheet.

"I can buy a hundred copies of that.." I said.

"Can you at least read the headline first?"

"Apparently, Laura Park is the only child of the Park's. And as you know, Park has always been number two. Next to the Paredes. So, Clark Sr. and Mr. Lauro Park decided to fix your brother and Laura's engagement." he stated.

"I don't have a brother. Tell me more." I said.

"Well, as I was saying. Pero since Laura is still studying, they're planning to have the wedding after four years."

"Is that so? Well, I want you to find out the exact date of the wedding and then book us a flight the day before it." I said.

"Oh no Diamond, you wouldn't possibly do that?" he said. Worried.

"What!? I wouldn't afford missing a big event. Afterall, it's a Paredes' wedding."

To sum it up, Mina found out the date, and now I'm here.

I looked around. Business tycoons from all over the world. It looks more of a business convention rather than a wedding.

Not so far from where I was standing, I saw them.

Clark Sr. and Dina. Smiling to every person they bump into.

I don't even remember how they smile. Because I never saw them smile at me.

Too bad, I'm not interested with their smiles anymore.

Rashi and a guy is busy giving the last touch to the wedding.

Chin is with.. Max? The guy from high school that used to court me.

Ah! I remembered.

"By the way, Diamond. Your bestfriend in the Philippines? Angela right? I guess she's with Mackenzie Yap."

Mina told me last week about that.

And then I see some of the Mafia dudes I used to be with.
