Eddie picked up his phone and brought it to his ear.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Hello, Eddie, this is Richard Wilson, I'm the pastor at Grace Cathedral Church."

At the name of the church, Eddie's heart leaped in his chest and his breathing grew a little ragged. Had they seen what had happened on the cameras?

"Oh. Yes?" Eddie mumbled, trying to not sound terrified.

"I heard that you recently lost your job and was wondering if you would consider working at the church."

A beat of silence.

"What?" Eddie squeaked.

"It's not full time, mostly cleaning and making sure that the technician is working properly, filing papers and replying to emails, small things like that. There's a garden out back, too, if your interested."

"Uh, w-well, Pastor Wilson, that's all very kind of you but I think I'm doing just fine right where I am, I mean—"

"Eddie, there's no good in passing up a good job. It pays well, enough for you to keep your apartment and have a sufficient amount of money. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take it."

"Well, why can't someone else do it? I mean, why me?"

"Not many people are out of a job like you are, Eddie," the pastor replied kindly. "You need this job, even if it might be sort of small. Trust me, you can work here until you find something else for you to work with. I'll even give you a tip if you come in tonight. How does that sound?"

Eddie was caught. He was the type of person who couldn't say no to people like this...especially people who actually cared for him.

"Fine. You have a deal," he sighed.

"That's great, Eddie. I'm working right now, but you should be able to come in around eight and we can discuss how it's going to work, alright?"

"Alright."

"Thanks, Ed."

"Wait."

A pause.

"Yeah?"

"W-will I be able to finish this before twelve?"

"Eddie, I assure you, you can do this," the pastor said. "And speaking of twelve, I came in today and saw the security cameras."

"R-really?" Eddie squeaked, trying to sound like he was clearing his throat.

"It seems like the demon found someone it likes," the pastor said soberly. "I can't tell you more than that because the rest is....yeah. So make sure to be out at least thirty minutes before twelve, alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, I will, don't worry," Eddie replied, nodding. And he meant it, too. He didn't want to meet the demon again, even if the demon was hot and controlling.

"Thank you, Eddie."

"No problem," Eddie said and then hung up. He sighed and passed his hands over his face.

Seriously? He just agreed to work at the church where he got jacked off by a demon?! What was wrong with him?

"Thanks for coming, Eddie," Pastor Wilson smiled as Eddie came through the doors and into the fellowship hall.

"Yeah, you're welcome," Eddie said, glancing nervously down the dimly lit hall before turning to the pastor. "Uh...so, what am I doing, exactly?"

"Come on, I'll give you a small crash course."
