After Venom had dropped Anne and Dan off at their apartment, he took Eddie home. He was extremely concerned about the man as he was covered in semi-dried blood and had severe markings and bruises on him.

When they reached their apartment, Venom immediately took control. Eddie protested against it, wanting to just go to sleep but Venom insisted firmly that he needed to stay awake and let Venom take care of him.

So Eddie waited obediently while Venom prepared his bath and got out his pajamas.

"Eddie, you are in pain. I will not sleep until I know you are taken care of," Venom said as he slipped one finger under the water to test its warmth.

Eddie mumbled something incoherent as Venom picked him up and gently set in the tub. He winced and sucked in a sharp breath as the warm water stung against his wounds.

"V, it hurts," he said and tried to get out.

"No, darling, you need this," Venom said, softly pressing him back down. "I know it stings but it will soon die. Must make sure they don't get infected. Don't want my little angel to get infected, right?"

Eddie closed his eyes and willingly allowed Venom to clean his wounds with a warm, wet rag.

"Yeah..." he agreed. "But you...you won't...hurt me, right?"

"Hurt you? No, Eddie, I would never hurt you," Venom replied, surprised and a little confused. "You are perfect. I would never hurt you like Riot did."

And the mention of the name, Eddie shuddered and his breathing quickened. Venom immediately got protective and tried to calm the man down.

"Eddie, Eddie, love, calm down," he whispered. "Calm down. He's dead, remember? I killed him. He's not coming back. You're safe. You're safe."

He waited until Eddie started to calm down to gently stroke the man's trembling hand with his thumb. Eddie squeezed the giant hand like a lifesaver and Venom patiently waited until the mini panic attack subsided.

"He's gone. He won't come back. Ever," Venom crooned in the man's ear. "I protected you, Eddie. We're doing fine. It's okay."

"Y-yeah...." Eddie shuddered and tried to bring the hand closer.

Venom hummed, fondly pressing his toothy maw against the man's cheek, and then left him to get some antibiotic ointments down in the kitchen for the wounds for after Eddie was done with his bath.

When he returned, he saw that Eddie was trying to wash himself with some soap that Venom had set on the rail.

"Here, let me," he said and, setting the ointments on the sink and kneeling down by the side of the tub, taking the soapy rag and carefully pressing it up and around Eddie's bruised and aching body.

"Thanks, V," Eddie sighed contentedly as the buff form pressed against his shoulder. He leaned into that touch, even if Venom's intentions had just been to clean him, and Venom rumbled softly, planting a soft kiss against the man's temple.

"Anytime, Eddie," he whispered.

Once Venom was satisfied that Eddie had been completely covered in soap, he transported him to the shower and the man rinsed off, stepping out a few moments later and Venom assisted him in getting into his pajamas.

Eddie winced as Venom applied the ointment to his wounds, but Venom reassured him throughout the whole ordeal, speaking encouraging and gentle words. Venom then carefully wrapped the treated wounds in roller gauze, making sure to be very very gentle and soft with the man, checking his circulation after very wound had been bound to make sure he hadn't wrapped it too tight.
