It's been a week, and fortunately there has been no abuse from Sebastian to Fin. It should be an accomplishment, but really it was because Sebastain was asked to go to California for a real estate award. At first Sebastian was going to invite Fin, and by invite it really meant to drag Fin with him to California, but when it was made knew that it was only agents only and no spouse or children Sebastain made Fin stay with Penny to his great dislike.
So Fin was safe for now until Sebastian came back with either a horrible attitude or being sweet, nice, and kind.
Fin was working when Penny gave Fin the order for Long Inc that was due around six o'clock at night. Fin didn't want to, but saw that Penny was dealing with a karen and would rather deliver than deal with that.
"Fin! Don't forget to smile!" Penny yelled and continued to talk with the customer.
Fin drove to the business and waved to the same receptionist he saw before and went to the elevators to the correct floor. When Fin walked in and couldn't close his mouth in such awe that the room was.
He walked to the middle of the room and stared at the beautiful designs and loved the purple and white theme.
"Bouquets?"
Fin turned around and saw Micheal in a violet suit and could take his eyes off of him. But then Fin looked back into Michael's eyes and saw him smirking a little bit.
"Yes, the bouquets you order." Fin pushed the wagon more closer to him and Michael and handed Michael one to examine. Michael smiled at the design and nodded his head.
"I left my cheque book in my office, could you please follow me with the bouquets."
Fin was hesitant, but did as asked and when headed to his office he told his PA to take flowers and have them set up. Michael sat down in his chair and wrote out the cheque.
"So what is it you do again?" Fin asked in a soft voice, startling Michael.
"I'm a journalist." Michael answered shortly.
"Then what is the scholarship for?"
"For students who have interned here their junior or senior year of high school who are deciding to pursue their degree in journalism. Also I have scholarships for current employees that are in college to help them out. "
Fin nodded his head and looked around his office and saw pictures of him with multiple people probably from previous years.
"How old are you?"
"27, why are you asking me questions as if we are buddies or something?" Michael asked instead.
"Because...maybe I was mean to you and I'm trying to apologize without apologizing." Fin spoke, smiling a little.
"Maybe? You think maybe you were mean. How about an asshole. I understand you're married and I truly don't want to be a homewrecker, but something pulled me to you and I liked it, and it won't stop. So I'm sorry." Michael says, ripping the cheque out of the book and handing it to Fin.
Fin looked at the cheque then Michael, but didn't accept it and decided to look around, but something is wrong.
Something is definitely wrong.
Why isn't Fin leaving? Just collect the cheque and go back to the shop.
Yet Fin picked up a newspaper article showing what had just happened a few days ago. Fin is starting to sweat a little and become nervous, but doesn't want to leave.
"Fin....the cheque." Michael said, waving the cheque in the air.
"Where did you say when you wanted to take me out?" Fin asked, twisting his ring around his finger.
"I don't reme-"
"Yes you do." Fin responded back looking Michael in the eyes.
"Listen Fin, what are you doing? Huh?"
Truly Fin what are you doing?
"My husband is gone for how long and I finally feel free to do what I want and maybe I want to go on a date. Is that bad?"
"If it's out of revenge then yes."
"It's not....."
Michael and Fin looked at each other for a while, not making any move to one another.
"Michael, the event is about to begin." Said his PA.
Fin just continued to stare at Michael, and Michael ripped the cheque and put his cheque book into a glass of water.
"Yes thank you and could you also buy new cheque books I don't have any for the flower shop." Michael said to his PA that was outside of the door.
"Right away sir." and with that Michael and Fin were left alone again. And this time Fin smiled knowing fully well what he was doing.
"I said I would take you to a nice restaurant and dance with you." Michael said.
"Then how about tonight after you are done with work?" Fin responded.
They both continued to smile and it honestly made me smile, but I knew as well as you all know that this path is not going to go down well. Matter of fact I believe going down this path may result in death...
No good story ends without someone dying...
Right?.....
Well I guess the only way to know is to go down this rabbit hole. See you there.
