"Let me go, you bloody colonizer's scumbag!" Ghaafar Lee shouts to the police officer who brought him into the lock-up cell at a police station near the Klang Railway Station. He was caught there by the police. Fortunately, they did not shoot him dead. His life was spared by them. The resident wants him held apprehended alive. "I will kill you whenever I have the chance to! That's my promise to you!" Ghaafar Lee warns the police officer.

"Then, I think you have to break that promise. We won't meet anymore soon. You will be a dead man!" The officer says very seriously. "And if I'm the scumbag, why am I here outside and you're there inside being locked up?" The officer chuckles a bit before having him locked inside a tiny dark cell. The smell there is not very pleasing. One who had lived his whole life living on the greatest part of the city would instantly vomit being inside.

"You idiot! Let me out, I tell you! You will not be safe!" Ghaafar Lee tries to threaten the police officer. Despite that, the officer just went away ignoring while whistling, probably trying to provoke Ghaafar Lee even more.

Although not the first time being locked up by the police, he is very anxious about being there. All this time, Clyde's father would bail them out. He is a very reputable Englishman living in Perak. But now, there is no one he could think of to get him out of there. This is to be added with the fact that he tried to assassinate the Selangor's most important person, the resident itself.

He overheard from the police in the truck that brought him there that they will transfer him to the Singapore Jail while waiting for trial. He knows it, he won't make it out of Singapore alive if he stands for trial. There is no native Malayan that has won a case against the crown in the courts in the colonized lands under British rule. Even if there is, it is very uncommon and rare to see. So, he starts to plan a way to run from being held apprehended. And now, he has to wait for them to transport him to Singapore.

A truck arrives at the porch of the police station the next morning. It is meant to transport him to Port Swettenham. There, a naval ship is waiting to transfer many more inmates to Singapore to stand for trial there. That includes him. But the truck is empty and the port is not far away, so it means that he will be in the truck alone, of course accompanied by a few police officers so he will not be able to escape.

It is true. There are 5 soldiers guarding him on the truck. There is no way for him to escape now. He should just follow suit now for his safety. At the port, a few more soldiers are waiting. An officer is also there. Nearing the officer, Ghaafar Lee is shocked to see the face he knows, very much familiar with. The man who he spent many years with, doing ridiculous things with.

"Ismail? Is that you?" Ghaafar Lee asks the officer. He needs to know. He has not met this man who he thinks of as brother for years now. "It's you, buddy! I miss you!" Ghaafar Lee tries to get him. The man is disgusted by Ghaafar Lee's act. Two bath stars shining on his shoulder tab, he has long forgotten his past. He is now with the pride of being an officer in the British Army.

"What are you doing, asshole! Keep on moving!" He puts his hand on his baton stick as a preparation for any possible outcome. The other soldiers then grab Ghaafar Lee away from being near to Ismail Wallace, or Lieutenant Ismail Wallace to be exact.

"It's me, Ismail! It's me!" Ghaafar Lee tries to beg for his old buddy's mercy. His heart is now full of tears seeing his good lad not knowing him, disgusted by him. "It's me, Lee, Ghaafar Lee!" He then directly introduces himself to the army officer. This way, Ismail Wallace would probably recognize him.

"No way you are Lee!" Ismail Wallace denies Ghaafar Lee's proclamation. "Lee is long dead! He is gone! GONE!" Ismail Wallace shouts before pushing Ghaafar Lee away from him. He then orders that all the inmates get on board immediately. The ship then sails for Singapore, a journey that will usually take a few days, depending on the weather.

"You better tell me or else!" Ghaafar Lee is now in a very dark room. Just a menthol bulb lighting the room thus lighting just the wooden table they are sitting at. His hands and legs are cuffed. Two army officers are now sitting in front of him, just the wooden table separating them both with him. "Who is your leader? Who are your mates?" One of the officers interrogates them further.

Ghaafar Lee is very exhausted now. He lost track of time ever since he was brought into the room. Nor did they give him a meal, they did not even give him a sip of water to drink. It is very torturing. The more he refuses to cooperate, the more torture they give him. Is this what the people have gone through here? Very inhumane! Why, though? Does the concept of one being innocent until proven guilty be ignored? That is for God to decide then.

"I have no leader nor do I have any mates." Ghaafar Lee answers them short and simple. The same answer he had provided for days. If not because of their aim to convict the rest, he would have been hanged to death by now. They need the information from him. That is the only way that could lead them to the rest. So, keeping Ghaafar Lee would be the best choice now.

He was then punched right on his nose. It bleeds immediately. The other offi cer then pushes him off the chair he was sitting on. He falls down to the ground. Lying in pain. On the ground, he was kicked and stomped on by both officers there. They are very much annoyed by his non-cooperative behaviour, his ignorance to provide them with information. One of the officers then grabs Ghaafar Lee by his neck before punching him in the face simultaneously and repeatedly. The officer then was stopped by his partner who worries that Ghaafar Lee might die being beaten up by them. "Just tell us and this will all be over, you idiotic prick!" He shouts while being grabbed away from Ghaafar Lee.

"You could kill me, sir, and I will still not tell you anything! Ha ha ha!" Ghaafar Lee provoked the offi cer with his psychopathic voice while answering. "You will not get anything from me even if you step over my corpse!" Ghaafar Lee keeps on provoking. The officer takes the chance to punch him in the face one more time before leaving him there lying in pain.

He is then brought by the soldiers to a confinement cell to be locked up. He was only given a loaf of bread and a glass of tap water the next morning. But that is enough for him to regain his energy from the exhausting days being interrogated like a criminal of humanity. He starts to think of a way to escape this brutal confinement. Are criminals usually treated this way by the authorities? With this kind of brutality, it makes him think that humans should be treated evenly.

"Wake up!" The soldier opens up the metal grill that locks inmates up. Inside, there should be Ghaafar Lee. "What the-'' However, the soldier was shocked that Ghaafar Lee is gone, there is only an almost-naked unconscious soldier lying on the floor! Where could he go? He was securely locked up yesterday. No one had opened the door for him.

This news gets to the officer-in-charge's ears. He, as he should have reacted, is very much angry at the soldiers guarding the lock up cells. He should have never escaped if he was guarded the proper way. There must be soldiers that were lacking during duty.

"DAMN YOU ALL! HE IS A DANGER TO PUBLIC! GO AND GET HIM BACK!" Ordered the officer full of anger. He could not imagine the furious response he would get from the Governor.

Ghaafar Lee is now in the middle of the town of Singapore in an army uniform. There is money inside of his pocket. So, he goes to a tailor shop and gets himself a pair of suits to be worn. From there, he could get on a ship that moves north from Singapore. Getting back to the White Mask is what he could think of now. Therefore, he must get on board and sail back to Port Swettenham.

The God blesses his journey and the cause of it, he manages to get a ticket to get on a ship that will sail to Georgetown in the Prince of Wales' Island. While sailing, they will stop at Malaccan port for transit purposes. There, he could get off board and move through the land to Klang to be reunited with his great lads of the White Mask. He gets on board and proceeds to do what he had thought of.

"I will be back as I promised. Trust me, okay?" He whispers to himself.
