I sat in the back seat of Stiles' Jeep as he sped to an empty parking lot where Jackson was. It was the next day and we were still figuring everything out. During the game, Scott heard Mr. Argent and Allison's aunt, Kate, talking about the claw marks on the back of Jackson's neck. Apparently, they think Jackson got turned by the Alpha's claws. They said that if claws went deep enough, they could turn you. But Jackson didn't get those marks from the Alpha, he got 'em from Derek cause he was being an asshole. Derek wasn't strong enough the beat Peter, but he survived. Peter didn't wanna kill Derek.

Mr. Argent and Jackson came into view soon enough. They were just standing outside, looking under Jackson's hood. It seemed like he was having car trouble.

Stiles slammed the breaks as we reached them, rolling down the window. "What's up?" Stiles said, pretending to be nonchalant. "Is everything okay?"

Mr. Argent nodded once, "Hey, Scott. Your friend here, was having car trouble. We're just taking a look."

I stuck my head out the window, "There's a shop right down the street. I'm sure they have a tow truck."

Scott nodded, "Yeah. You want a ride?" Jackson glanced back at Mr. Argent nervously, looking like he was unsure of what to do. God he was such an idiot.

"Hey, come on, Jackson. You're way too pretty to be out here all by yourself." Stiles commented before Scott opened his door, sending Jackson a look that said "get your ass in the car".

Jackson started to walk towards us before Mr. Argent walked back up to the front of Jackson's car. "Hey, guys." He called, reaching down to turn on the ignition. He smiled as he heard the engine of Jackson's Porsche roar. "Told you I knew a few things about cars." He said, returning back to his own SUV before speeding off.

We all got out of Stiles' Jeep, Jackson turning to us with an irritated look on his face. But then again his face was always screwed up like that. "What, are you following me, now?" He said through gritted teeth.

"Yes, you stupid freaking idiot. You almost gave away everything, right there!" Scott shouted.

"What are you talking about?"

"He thinks you're the second beta."

Jackson furrowed his brows, "What?"

"He thinks you're me!" My brother yelled before he lifted his hand, punching Stiles' Jeep.

"Dude, my jeep." Stiles warned.

Jackson rolled his eyes as he got into Scott's face. Scott glared at the blonde-haired boy, "I can hear your heart beat from a mile away - literally! Now he thinks that there's something wrong, and now I have to keep an eye on you so he doesn't kill you too!" Scott went to hit Stiles' Jeep again before Stiles got in the way.

"Okay, how about we step away from Stiles' Jeep." I offered, pulling my brother out of Jackson's face.

Jackson gritted his teeth, "This is your problem, not mine, okay? I didn't say anything, which means you're the one that's gonna get me killed. Okay, this is your fault."

Scott and Jackson started to push each other, causing me to look at Stiles, prompting him to break it up. Stiles sighed before he stepped in the middle of the two, "Okay, okay." He interrupted, breaking the two apart.

"When they come after you, I won't be able to protect you. I can't protect anyone." Scott said, glancing over at Stiles.

I snorted as Stiles took offense, "Why are you looking at me?" Stiles asked.

"You know what, now you have to do it." Jackson said. "Get me what I want, and I will be fine protecting myself." Jackson wanted to be a werewolf. He was so desperate to be the best at everything so now he wanted this supernatural advantage. But he didn't know everything. He hadn't seen everything that comes with being a werewolf.
