Chapter 6: Earth's Last Stand

In the sewers, Slash and Rockwell walk through the tunnels with flashlights in their hands. The Mutanimals (minus Dani) split up into two groups to search for the so called "Dino Man" from the news.

As they went, Rockwell noticed a soggy magazine on the floor and used his powers to lift it up. "There, Slash, you see?" he asks, pointing to the article. "Months ago, Kurtzman was tracking the creature, but it vanished. I thought it was a hoax until these reports started to resurface." 

The tortoise felt skeptical about this whole "Dino Man" issue. Mutants in the sewers are one thing, but dinosaurs? That didn't sound right. "You sure some normal didn't see one of us and think it was a dinosaur?" he asks. Before Rockwell could answer, he hears a noise and holds his hand up for silence. Slash hears the noise as well and looks around.

A couple of moments later, the two mutants walk to another tunnel and the noise grew louder. Rubble was falling from the ceiling. "Think that's Leatherhead and Pigeon Pete?" Slash asks. "No," Rockwell answers, shaking his head. "They're searching the south side of the sewers." He presses his fingers to his temple and mentally searches the area for what is causing the noise. "Ohmmmm... I can feel its presence." The sound was getting louder. The water beneath them was rippling from each boom.

Frowning, Slash pulls his mace out. "Uh, Doc?" he asks, not liking where this was going. "I can't grasp its' mind," Rockwell says as he continues trying to sense what was coming. "It's frenzied... chaotic..." Then his eyes snapped open with realization. "Alien."

As soon as Rockwell said that word, the sound stopped. The mutant chimp turned his flashlight back on and looked at the nearby tunnels for the source of the noise. It had to be close. Suddenly, a cracking sound had the two Mutanimals look up and then part of the ceiling fell down. Slash and Rockwell jumped away from the rubble and looked through the dust to see...

"Incredible!" Rockwell gasped. "He's real!" The Dino Man coughed before charging toward them. "Mutaters!" he shouted. "Smash em' all!" Before Rockwell could use his powers to attack, he was knocked into a wall with a yelp. "Lights out!" Slash shouts as he swung his mace at the three-horned head, only for it to bounce off, without the dinosaur flinching. His mace was swatted away and the Dino Man rammed him like a bull. Slash gets knocked through another tunnel. He tries to get back up, but collapses and groans in pain.

The Dino Man clutches his head and rambles, "The mission... the orders... they say..." He then breaks down coughing again. Clutching his arm, Rockwell approaches him. "Warped mind or not, you can't withstand THIS!" But the blast Rockwell sent had no affect on the Dino Man. He turns to face the mutant chimp and charges toward him. "CRUSH THEM ALL!" he roars. Rockwell screeches as he backs away from him in fear. The Dino Man gives him a punch that knocks him out cold, sending his psychic amplifier to fly to the side.

(Meanwhile)

"Yes, the final episode!" Michelangelo exclaims as he puts a VHS in. The three Turtles and Dani sat in front of the TV to watch the final episode of Crognard the Barbarian while Raphael was out on patrol. "Mikey, Raph is gonna be super ticked if we watch the Crognard finale without him," Leonardo says. "Oh, yeah?" Michelangelo retorts. "Well the Crognard finale's gonna be super ticked Raph didn't show up on time to watch it." "That's just because you're impatient," Dani retorts back.

Michelangelo sticks his tongue out at her and plays the episode. It starts with Crognard preparing to fight against a dragon. Wizardess warns him and then a five-headed dragon appears. Crognard tries to hit it with his blade, but it does nothing, Then one of the heads eats him and flies off with Spooch crying as the episode ends.
