"I'm...not sure. But more importantly, who are you?" Aero asked me.
"I already told you know - my name is -"
"I know your name Blade. But who are you? Why are you here? Where are we?"
I couldn't be more confused.
"I was hoping you'd have those answers for me." I said with a faint smile. "But let's see. I suppose I could give you my story so far."
And thus I gave him my story. I told him about Mr. Johnson attacking me at the school and how the sword randomly appeared. I told him about the dream and His Majesty and how I had the tattoo on my chest. When I mentioned His Majesty, I noticed his expression changed slightly, but he kept a somewhat opened look nonetheless. I ran through the part of me discovering that wind was my talent during my spar with Ven and how I had lost control of my powers when I fought Ace. And lastly I told him about Aveila and how Kaiber told me I'd meet him soon.
"So yeah. I closed my eyes, and I was teleported here. I was in that other clearing before I saw you collapse from the sky. I felt a stream of air that seemed to be a pathway somewhere, but it only kept taking me in circles. Because you were nowhere to be found, I decided to tamper with that stream, and that's when your dragon head spawned in the sky. And now we're here."
"That is all very peculiar my friend. It would appear that we're partners now? Seems like you need me as much as I need you." He said sitting himself up on the ground. "You need me?" I asked him. "Why of course." He said as he ran his fingers through his hair.
"I don't remember who I am or where I'm from my friend. All I know is that my name is Aero, and I seem to control the wind just as much as you do. And apparently my duty is to help you control your powers as you discover more about yourself. And even with that said, I seem to have potential in myself that I don't fully realize. I'm not sure what was going on with that dragon head that appeared in the sky that I manifested from, but I'm sure that as I continue to work with you, I'll learn more about myself."
I nodded my head. He had my sympathy. I wish he remembered more about himself, but I couldn't help but feel frustrated. All of this stuff was so new to me. It was hard enough to find Aero and now that I've found him he actually doesn't remember much about himself or his position as my Limitor. What was I supposed to do now?
And then I felt my curiosity side arise. And that generated more questions for me to ask. But first, I needed to respond to him.
"I understand." I said as I walked up and placed my hand on his shoulder. "I won't lie. I don't know much, but I'll be here with you." I told him. He held out his right fist to me and I fist bumped him. "I couldn't ask for more." He told me.
"I do have a few questions for you though. Fun questions. I want to see how much alike we are." "Okay shoot."
"Well first, how does the wind make you feel?"
"Make me feel?"
"Yes. For me, whenever I feel the wind on my face, it's almost like I become a fish in water again. I feel more alive. My senses become sharper, my breaths become deeper, and I feel much more -"
"Alert." He said with a glint in his eyes.
"Yes. Exactly. I'm not sure how else to describe it. It's just a joy to be in."
"I concur. The wind, though it obeys my will, is such a pleasure. I'm not sure where I'd be or do without the wind. Nothing compares to the most subtle breezes and the strongest turbulences. The air is so versatile."
As he continued to talk about the wind, it was almost like he had a daze in his eyes, as if he was more so thinking to himself than talking to me. And I could honestly relate 100%. But there was one word that surprised me that he said.
