Note #1: I keep creating and uploading stories in random orders ;-;
For any story that takes place during season 4, everyone aged one year, meaning Haven is now 11 years old.
Haven's POV
"Well Omar, looks like you're finally considered the new kid around here," I laugh. The five of us are sitting in a circle by the Stump casually talking.
It sounds so cool saying 'the five of us' now. Actually, 'the six of us' including Mortimor.
"Is there anything you ever wanted to do now that you have less responsibilities?" Craig asks.
"Uh, I'm not sure. What is there to do?" He shrugs.
"Oh-ho-ho, have I got the ultimate day planned for you!" Craig takes out his map and places it on the table. We huddle around him.
"We could go to the Trading Tree for some snacks, ooh, or how about the Ninja Garden Waterfall? I think you'll like the Ninja Kids, or how about-"
"You can come to my house and play video games if you want," I suggest.
"Ahem? I was beginning to start a very important presentation—"
"What's your favorite genre?" Omar asks.
"Wayyy too many to name, heh heh heh. It's mainly between casual, slice-of-life games, platformers, and RPGs. Even better if it's a combination of all three," I explain in the shortest and most relaxed way possible.
Usually whenever someone asks me what I'm interested in, I have to make a quick decision on whether I should act like it's a normal, every day topic, or what I normally prefer but refrain from doing so I don't scare anyone away, geek out over it, info-dumping about the lore and characters, you know, the usual.
"I love RPGs too!"
I place a hand on his shoulder and grin.
"You, my fine basil-green friend, have just earned yourself the title of my best video game friend. I've never been so proud," I pretend to wipe away a tear.
"But I thought I was your best video game friend," Craig frowns.
I turn to him. "I keep beating you every time we play Power Punchers. Why else do you think we play everything but fighting games?" I snicker.
"My skills have greatly improved since then. You were there to witness it personally, after all. Or," he steps closer in my face. "Is it because you're scared now?"
I nearly stumble backwards by his sudden movement. "Haha, nonsense, child. For I am the best Power Punchers player in this group!"
"Well if you're the best in the group, then I'm the best in the world!"
"Aha! So you admit that I'm better than you!?"
"What?! No! There's more people in the world than this group obviously, so that means I'm more advanced than you," he crosses his arms.
"But the world isn't part of the group, is it?"
"Is this a challenge I'm sensing?" Kelsey interjects.
"Oh it's a challenge alright," Craig puts his hand out.
"You got yourself a deal," I shake his hand.
"I thought we were gonna talk about video games," Omar interrupts, frowning.
"Ah, uh, on the way to Craig's house we can," I innocently smile at Omar.
"As for you," I furrow my eyebrows at my opponent. "We'll settle this on Saturday. Got it?"
