Note #1: I'm not really sure how to describe this chapter (even though it's kinda self explanatory in the title lol), but I thought this would be interesting to write. Had this idea ever since I published 'Stranded.'

Third Person POV

Wildernessa peaked out the window to see Haven and Craig talking. She couldn't hear what they were saying too well, but their expressions and movement did the talking.

Haven looking deeply into his eyes, Craig doing the same back. Haven helping him up, holding his hand longer than usual, Craig giving her a faint smile at the gesture.

Cheesesticks, who was previously frightened by the tension earlier, walked up to Haven and Craig. Haven pet him and looked to the side seeing if Wildernessa was around. When she noticed she wasn't, she continued to pet Cheesesticks and talk to Craig.

When Craig and Haven kept talking to and over one another about how the three of them made it out of the playhouse and the island. The glimmer in their eyes, the excitement in their voices, everything they did was perfectly in sync.

Wildernessa looked back and forth as they were talking. She was faintly smiling, but also felt a tug at her heart.

She was certain Haven had feelings for Craig, too. Craig might've felt the same way towards her as well. Haven was immediately accepted into his friend group, so it would make sense for them to get to know each other better.

But I suppose they've gotten this far, it's too late for her, right?

Haven was too kind for Wildernessa to dislike her. Even after everything, Haven still gave Wildernessa her phone number. Was she loud? Almost every moment she gets. Was she hyper? As if she's always on a sugar rush and never seems to crash. Did she mean well? She always has.

Even with her changing opinion about the two, Haven was starting to be acceptable, while Craig was exceptional.

She silently considered Haven her rival, a competitor to her emotions for Craig. Whether Haven realizes this is up to her. This would certainly be a challenge for the both of them. May the best friend win.

Note #2: I wrote this during school.
