Chapter 6:
"Sam!" I hear my name being called.
I turn around and see Niall pull up with his car. I throw my backpack in the trunk and hop into the front.
"Hey. How was 6th period?" Niall asks me slowly driving off.
"O.k..." I say looking out the window.
He turns on the radio station, but turns it down low.
"You seem upset. You okay?" he asks me, keeping his eyes on the road.
I was secretly wishing he would as that question.
"I don't know.. Harry is in my class.. and he just flirts with other girls.." I say.
"Sam.. don't trust him.. He'll just hurt you." Niall says.
I nod my head understanding.
"Just.. stay away from him. Okay?" Niall says quickly looking at me.
"Okay.." I say slouching into my seat.
"But on the lighter note, it's movie Monday!!" Niall says giving me a big smile.
"Yay..." I say sarcastically.
"C'mom Sam. Don't let it get to you." He says pulling up to his house.
"I won't.." I say quietly.
"Okay we're at my house. Lets just forget about this." Niall says getting out of the car. He opens my door for me and helps me out. I grab my backpack and follow him to the door of his house.
"MOM?!!" Niall yells opening the locked door.
I follow him inside. All of a sudden a golden retriever attacks me.
"Hey champ!!" I say as dog slobber gets all over my arm.
"He missed you." Niall says petting him.
I kiss champ on the head and set my backpack down.
"What movie do you wanna watch?" Niall asks leading me to the couch.
"Hmm... Tangled!" I say jumping up and down.
"Of course. You love Disney movies." Niall says laughing.
I jump onto his couch and pull a blanket over me.
Niall goes into the kitchen to make some popcorn.
"Hey Niall..?" I turn around to face him.
"Yeah?" he asks smiling at me.
"Why did you say I was your girlfriend?" I ask curiously.
He pops the popcorn into the microwave and comes over to me. My heart beat quickens as he sits down next to me.
"Sam.. I.. didn't want Harry hanging out with you.." Niall says fiddling with his fingers.
"What? But I don't even like Harry." I say.
"Yeah.. but I.. don't want to loose you as my best friend." Niall says.
I don't say anything, trying not to do something stupid.
"Sam.. I.. I think I.." Suddenly the microwave starts beeping uncontrollably.
He immediately gets up and goes to get the popcorn.
I hit my head, wondering what he was going to say. Niall soon comes with a bowl full of warm popcorn.
"Here Sam." he says handing it to me and snuggling under the blanket right next to me.
We anxiously start munching on our popcorn and start the movie.
