Chapter 7:
The movie was near the end where Rapunzel and Flynn Rider fall in love. I look over to Sam and see that her eyes were closed. I laugh lightly, as she always falls asleep during our movies. She moves a bit and her head falls lightly on my shoulder. My eyes widen, not knowing what to do. Her hair falls down her face and I push it back. I examine her eyes, nose, lips, etc. She was beautiful.
"Hmmm.." she says wrinkling her nose. Still asleep, I lay her head down on a pillow.
"Sam.." I say poking her cheek.
She didn't budge.
I feel a light nudge on my foot. I look down and see champ.
"Hey buddy." I say petting him.
Champ whines, looking up at Sam, then me. I laugh ruffling his hair.
"Niall? Oh gosh.." Sam says rubbing her eyes.
"Hey sleepy." I say. She was so cute. The way she slept.
"Im sorry.. I fell asleep again." she says sitting up.
"It's okay." I laugh lightly.
"Hey champ." she says petting him.
Champ climbs onto the couch and sits down next to Sam.
"Ugh.. Niall.. I think I have to go home." She says standing up.
"Oh.. right. Okay." I say getting her backpack for her.
Sam takes it from me and looks up at me.
"Thanks." she says pushing her hair behind her ear.
"Welcome.. And be careful walking home." I say opening the door for her.
"I live right down the street Niall. I'll be okay." she says rolling her eyes.
"Yeah.. but just be careful." I say shrugging.
"Niall.. thanks." she says wrapping her arms around me.
"Oh. Of course Sam." I say surprised by her hug.
"Your a great friend.." she says looking down.
I smile, awkwardly brushing my hands through my hair.
"Friend.." I think back in my head.
"Anyways.. I'll go now." she says laughing lightly.
"Alright.. see you tomorrow." I say watching her walk outside.
Something inside of me wanted to tell her something. Before thinking, I run outside.
"Sam!!" I call catching her arm.
"What? Niall??" She says turning around.
"Uhm..." I say, stuck.
Sam laughs, throwing her head back. I tried to get words out of my mouth, but nothing seemed to come out.
"Alright.. see you tomorrow." She says poking my stomach and walking away.
I turn around and slap my head. I was such an idiot for running out to her. Embarrassed, I run back into my house and slam the door shut, blocking everything out.
