Chapter 32

Mari's POV :

Grayson : You're PREGNANT?

Mari : What?! No! Of course not!

Jason : Then why did you say it was too late?

Mari : Good luck explaining everything Demon. Tikki, Spots on!

I transform and leave the Batcave before he can answer. I make it home in record time.

Damian's POV :

She left. She fucking left me here to explain everything to my family.

Replacement : So?

Todd : Explain!

Father : Yes, Damian. Explain yourself.

I run my hand through my hair.

Why do I have to do this?

I take a deep breath.

Damian : First of all, fuck off Todd! Now I can start. It started the summer I first met Ladybird as Robin-

Grayson : Did-

I glare at him and he shuts up.

Damian : As I was saying- that summer, I met her in her civilian form as well. We became friends and started dating about a week later. We dated the whole summer. She had to go back home at the end of the holidays, so we decided to go on one last date. Afterwards, we went back to her hotel and decided to watch a movie. At some point, we ended up having sex. She went back to France a day or two later. I didn't know that though... We kept messaging each other for about three weeks, then, out of the blue, she stopped responding at all. As it turns out, her class had been bullying her and destroyed her phone.

Todd : Good background story Damian, but that does not explain anything!

Damian : Shut the fuck up Todd! I'm getting there. Where was I?

Replacement : Broken phone.

Damian : Right! She found out she was pregnant a week later.

They were all staring at me wide-eyed. I ignored their amusing faces and continued.

Damian : Fast forward nine months, she gave birth and I had gone through what I now realize to be the five stages of grief.

I pause.

Damian : Shit ! If I hadn't broken your weak-ass arm, I would have seen her again sooner! She told me that two of her friends were at the gala!

Grayson : Was one of them wearing a yellow dress?

Damian : Yes.

Grayson : She asked me where you were.

Damian mumbling : That idiot should have known not to mess with me...

I take a deep breath before continuing.

Damian : You know the rest from there. Ladybird moves to Gotham and joins the team. Bla bla bla. I found out it was her when we stopped a guy from breaking into her house. Any questions?

They just stare at me blankly.

Damian : Good, cause I need to tell her how everything went.

I leave the Batcave and make it to my room without anyone catching up with me. I enter my room and immediately lock the door. They will be a real pain in the ass when they snap out of it. I grab my phone and message Angel.
