He was washing our plates now. He also had eaten. I liked how domestic my mate was. He never wanted me to lift a finger. He cooked for me. He cleaned the house. He did everything. In essence, he took care of me. Zenande, you're blessed girl.

Me: "Did you guys find the vampire?" I asked as he wiped the plates.

Zukile: "Yes."

Me: "Is...he...d-dead?"

Zukile: "Yes."

I swallowed.

Me: "Oh." I said softly. "W-What about my s-sister?"

Zukile: "She's still alive." I breathed out a sigh of relief. "But she won't be for long."

Yeesh.

Me: "Y-You don't have t-to k-kill her."

Zukile: "I'm sorry baby but she has to die."

Me: "Why?"

Zukile: "She's a threat to you."

Me: "But-."

Zukile: "No buts precious one." He cut me off. "Everyone who is a threat to you will die."

Me: "But Zuki...she's my sister."

Zukile: "She's not your sister!"

He growled harshly.

"She's never once treated you as her sister. She even tried to kill you. Did you forget all of that?"

Me: "N-No." I said shakily with tears in my eyes. Of course I didn't forget. I was still heartbroken over it.

Zukile sighed and pulled me into him.

Zukile: "I'm sorry baby, I wasn't trying to hurt you."

Me: "I know." He kissed my head. "Don't kill her."

Zukile: "Precious-."

Me: "Please." I begged.

Zukile: "She's a threat to you precious one. She wants you dead."

Me: "I know that but I still don't want her dead. Please Zukile."

He shook his head.

Zukile: "She has to die-."

Me: "Zukile please."

Zukile: "No precious one. I'm not going to change my mind on this. She deserves way more than death and if you heard the things she's said about you, you'll also think the same."

Me: "If you kill her, I won't be okay Zukile."

Zukile: "Baby-."

Me: "I really won't." I told him. "And you know I'm telling you the truth."

He growled unhappily.

Zukile: "She's not worth your love precious one." He said through his teeth.

Me: "I know but she has it nonetheless."

He gritted his teeth, his eyes flashing.

Zukile: "I'm not happy about this mate."

Me: "I know and I'm sorry but she can't die." He snarled. "She's the only one that's left from my adoptive family."

Zukile: "How did you know that the others are dead?"

I swallowed.

Me: "Since you never mentioned them, I guessed." He said nothing. "You can't kill Sophia."

Zukile: "Mate."

Me: "Promise me."

He growled as his eyes flashed even more. I was looking into the wolf's eyes but I wasn't going to be deterred from getting what I wanted so I pushed on.
