X hands Zero his weapons, Zero grins at his old friend, the real one, alive, and in the circuitry.
"It looks like my plan worked." Zero nods, and X agrees.
"The kids didn't even realize I left. Hell, Byakuya was able to convince them that I was never real. Of course, that lie won't hold."
"Do you know where Komaru and Toko are?" Zero asks.
"Kotoko abducted Komaru just a few minutes ago, and Jack went after them. I was going to go, too, but I thought I should break you out first."
"Good choice. Do you have any sort of hint where they could be?"
"I've already established a connection with the tracking device on Komaru's wristband. We'll be able to find her exact location."
"Alright, X. Let's roll!" Zero says, cocking his Buster.
The two Maverick Hunters bust out of the sewers and into the central part of the city, X looks around, aiming his Buster.
"Got anything?" Zero asks.
"The signal's moving at a high speed, heading West along the monorail system."
"So, a train battle?"
"Precisely. Follow me."
X dashes off in the direction of the signal, Zero following suit. Once the find the monorail, the two wall jump onto the tracks and break in from behind, weapons drawn. A Monokuma Kid stands at the end of the car they boarded.
A swarm of Monokumas break in, but X and Zero dispatch them with little issue. As they move to the front of the train, more Monokumas attack, each one brought down as the two hunters make their way to face Kotoko.
They get to the front of the monorail and burst down the door, to find Komaru, strapped to a board on the wall, being motivated by a bunch of cartoon hands, all grabbing at her, controlled by Kotoko.
Zero runs forward and slices off Komaru's binds, dropping her to the floor, and X holds off the incoming Monokumas.
Kotoko grabs something from behind the board, but before she can use it, the arriving Genocide Jack slices off the front of the barrel, rendering the denture launcher useless.
Before anyone can say anything, a sudden rumbling sounds throughout the room.
"Hey... Zero?" X asks.
"Yeah?"
"How much damage have we done to the monorail?"
Zero stops, counting on his fingers. "Shi-" He starts, but then the monorail flies off the track and into the side of a building.
When the light clears from his eyes, Zero finds the room a mess, the board split in half on the floor, Monokuma parts everywhere. But surprisingly, nobody was hurt in the explosion.
X sweeps his way through the rubble to a slightly open door, and all four people in the room can see another colosseum.
"X, how's your special weapon situation?" Zero asks.
"I've recovered a few. The Ultimate Armor chip is still in my systems, so that isn't an issue."
"Good. Any electric ones?"
"No, what did you do with the Thunder Chip?"
"I lost it after destroying Copy X."
"Um... I have a Truth Bullet that might work..." Komaru says, showing off Paralyze.
"That's probably better than anything I can think of." Zero nods, shoving open the door.
Of course. The four of them walk in and find Kotoko waiting for them.
