Chapter 5: Straight into the duty

Ash reached the Central Hall and he enters it. On entering, he was really confused on seeing it function normally. He decided to call on an assistant.

ASH: "Uhh excuse me! I have a doubt."

ASSISTANT: "Yes? How may I help you?"

ASH: "Can you tell me where is the room for The Rescue Force?"

ASSISTANT: "Well I am really sorry, but the information regarding the Rescue Force is strictly prohibited to common people."

Ash shows his acceptance letter which wrote that he's a part of The Rescue Force.

ASSISTANT: "Oh my apologies. I didnt knew that you are a part of it."

ASH: "Yes, I just got in! Can you give me the directions?"

ASSISTANT: "Allow me to take you there. I cant say out loud any information."

So the Assistant takes Ash to a room where all of the Rescue Forces come by.

ASSISTANT: "This place is only restricted to you and other members. It is called as the Common Force Room. If you go inside, there would be a person who would give you the main job. Now if you excuse me, I have other duties to do."

The Assistant quietly leaves and Ash goes inside the Force Room. He sees a commander sitting in front of him, the same commander who took the Practical Test.

COMMANDER: "Welcome! You may have a seat."

ASH: "Hi my name is Ash and I-"

COMMANDER: "No need to introduce yourself to me. Only accepted applicants enter this room. Today is your first day of duty if I am not wrong."

ASH: "Yes! I have heard that you either have to venture out, or keep a tight watch here."

COMMANDER: "Exactly! If you dont mind, considering your results we have decided to put you in the Venturers! Basically going out to solve problems."

ASH: "I am okay with anything!  would take the job of the Venturer gladly."

COMMANDER: "Good, now let me assist you!"

While the commander and Ash were walking, Ash has a look around the Central Hall's secret area where mostly other Rescue Force members (Venturers and Watchers) were doing their tasks. Some were discussing with different Assistants, others were watching the region outside the city.

ASH: "It feels weird that I have been in the city for only some time and yet the outside is just so contrasting."

COMMANDER: "Once you go on your breaks, it would be hard to take in the busy city life. Its all about the state of mind."

ASH: "So where do I need to go to get tasks assigned?"

COMMANDER: "That's where we are heading to. Once we reach the place, I wish you all the good luck because you would be experience the most contrasting environment of all."

ASH: "I am prepared for the problems."

A bit more walking and both of them reach what looks like an exit from the Central Hall.

COMMANDER: "From here onwards, I would take my leave. Your answers to any question related to the issue lies outside these doors."

Ash stands there along looking at the exit. He decides to wait for a while thinking that someone would come.

ASH: (Thinking) "That was some dramatic acting there. Even though what he said was right..."

Soon, another guy comes near those doors and he sees Ash.
