Tris POV
Today is a 50/50 day. In the morning I have double Art, English and French but after lunch I have Science, Geography, Maths and PE.

In art, I spotted some of the popular group: Christina, the girl I bumped into on the first day, Shauna, Four and Lauren. I suppose that you're wondering how I know their names? Your answer is that I rarely miss details, I have made a habit of knowing everyone, which will come in handy when I will try to move further up society, higher and higher, before I can become Tris.

Double art was soon over but everyone, in their hurry to get to break, left the room in an utter tip so I stayed behind to clear it up. What if I am suited to loads of houses? Like Abnegation Dauntless and Erudite. Which one do I choose?

If I am to be Tris, I know I have got to be dauntless so I clear my stuff away and when someone says, "Mind clearing mine too stiff?". Four. I finish mine slowly and say: do it yourself.
"Hey we've got a stiff with attitude"
"You're already 16 aren't you? Couldn't make it into year 7 without an extra year of study? I don't see any reason to be so proud." I still haven't looked at him but I hear angry footsteps approaching me so I whip round. But just as I do, he grabs my wrist and glares into my eyes, his face inches from mine. "What makes you think that stiff?"
"Your friends are loud enough." I say, holding his gaze. He looks away, "Hold your tongue stiff, be careful." He says, still not meeting my eye. Then he lets go and stalks out of the room. I grab my bag and walk out after him. I feel bad for not having cleared up but if I am going to be dauntless, I need to eliminate all "stiff""acts.

At PE

Dauntless are athletic and very good at sports so I realise that here, on the sports field, is where I need to step up my game. Amar's voice rings out: 5 laps now!
I start off slowly and jog the first 3 laps (at the back) then I move through the ranks and with 1 lap left I am in the middle. I am pretty exhausted but I won't give in so I speed up, a stitch forming in my side, and sprint the last 100m ending up somewhere near-ish the front. "Oi you, stiff. Were you not trying last time? Because that was a lot better. Get on the floor and do 50 pressups." Amar barks. I sigh and try to do as he says. I manage the 1st 15 alright but after that I start to collapse. Sniggering ripples through the crowd so I push myself further with only 4 other minor slips. It's amazing what a mental outlook can do to change you.

"Alright. Let's do another game of netball. Lauren, Four, you're captains. I want you to pick your teams."
"That's not fair on those who never get a chance to be captain. Four was captain last time. The only point you prove by doing that is you have favourites." I pipe up. And instantly regret it.
"Alright then stiff. You can be captain." I walk up, next to Lauren, with a straight face and turn to everyone.

"Four" (Lauren)
"Christina" time to face my fears.
"Molly"
"Zeke"
"Drew"
"Uriah"
"Peter"
"Marlene"
"Edward"
"Susan"
"Myra"
"Shauna"
"Lynn"
"Brian" (random dude with no significance to this story)
I end up as GA but instead of not trying, I mark my player (Peter) tightly and frequently retrieve the ball for my team. I manage to shoot 2/5 goals that our team but we end up tying with the other team which is infuriating!

"Stiff. I want to see you in my office. Now." I sigh quietly and follow him with my tail between my legs.

"That was a big improvement you made today stiff. Why didn't you do that yesterday? What made the difference? Because I want to see more of the stuff you did today and no more af that rubbish you did yesterday. Alright you can go."
"Thanks Coach." I mumble and exit the room.

As soon as I enter the changing rooms, I rip off my sticky sports kit and throw my uniform, excluding the blazer, back on. "Bea! You were amazing." An out of breath Susan comes bounding up behind me. I turn to face her with a smile in my eyes. I will miss this little spaniel when I move to Dauntless!
"Thanks Susan! Have you had a good day?"
"Not really. I am sorry I have got to go. Bye!"
"Bye then. See you tomorrow." I say, calling to the plump, waving figure as it dissolves into the distance. I chuckle to myself and decide I will try and jog home for practice.

A/N shorter chapter today, only 834 words. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO IMPROVE because nobody's perfect so I need advice!

I will try to update on Mondays as well because I realise how slowly this story is going.
