It has been a week since the whole aptitude test/Four thing/awkward day thing and nothing more has been done about any of those issues. Susan and I have been forced to drift apart because we have made our descisions: she will stay in Abnegation and I will move to Dauntless. Therefore, I don't have a best friend or solid group of friends although I manage perfectly well in class, acknowledging people when necessary and likewise ignoring them.

To my despair, I am succeeding in lowering my grades. I don't feel that I am truly expressing myself but how can I if I don't know who I truly am?

I am interrupted by the drone of the bell. It's amazing how powerful that one noise can be; the moment that it sounds, every single inhabitant of the school springs into action and starts to work.

My first lesson is PE so I sprint down to the sports hall and change into my kit. I'm lacing up my mud-splattered trainers when someone barges into me and carelessly gauges their heel into my spine. "Watch where your going!" I hiss. When I catch sight of who it is I stand up and stride over to her. Lauren. "It's not ok just to treat me like vermin just becuase your jealous."
"Why would I be jealous of you?" She sneers.
"I never said you were jealous of me. Anyway, I couldn't tell you why you'd be but that's certainly your attitude."
She snarls and sleeks back her hair with her heavily manicured fingers then slinks up to Four and snogs him there and then. I don't bother to flinch any more: it's such a frequent occurrence. Besides I am not jealous of a slutty girl making out with a player.

"Stiff Tori tells me your an amazing dancer."
"I wouldn't quite say amazing but yes I am a dancer." I hate over estimating myself.
"Well I'm coming to your dance school tonight to evaluate you because, believe it or not, I used to do hip hop and jazz."
"Ok. Um I only do tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and modern. I don't do hip hop."
"No matter. You'd better get warmed up stiff."
I nod to him and lap the court 3 times before he calls out: that's enough and brings us together.
"Today we will be playing hockey. Get into teams of 7." He barks.
The noise levels boil up very high but simmer down a little when the groups have fused together. There is:
1)Four, Lauren, Drew, Peter, Molly, Eric and Edward.
2)Christina, Will, Marlene, Uriah, Shauna Zeke and Lynn
Me, Susan and a few others are left over so Amar distributes us evenly among the other 2 teams. We are the substitutes and in the next game, we will join in.

In 20 minutes, the game was over. The score was 15:16 (Christina's team lost) but it was unjustly so because all of Lauren's team were playing dirty, except perhaps Four. Hair was torn from its base, shins were kicked and stomachs wacked by the heartless sticks.

I take up position as centre front attack and fit my mouth guard over my teeth. The whistle is blown and I pass the ball in my possession to Lynn (on my team), then I run further up the field, further towards the goal. Further towards victory.

The ball races to catch my but I misses me by mere inches. I sprint to catch up with it but by that stage, off-side has been called. I let myself sigh a little before hastening to stand behind the ball, shining brightly against the forest-green astro, and wacking it towards Uriah. Catching it on his stick, he swerves round, dodges past Peter, and pushes it into the goal. In victory, I punch the air and Uriah comes over to smack my hand in a high-five.
What did I do to help towards the victory?

By the end of the lesson, my team won 10:6. "Great job stiff. Worked up a real sweat there, got a nice tomato complexion coming on too." Four smirked.

"It's not my problem that people like you can just cruise through exersise without a care in the world and look like they hadn't done any. But don't get me onto the smell. It's worse than being forced to stick your head up a rhinoceros' bum for 12 minutes when it had just digested a curry made of skunks. It's also not my problem that sports aren't my thing but when I was on the team, we won. I'm not saying I made us win but, you know, quit with the tomato jokes because they're older than Ms. Matthews." I snap back at him, leaving him literally speachless.

"If you think you're so clever, what is your thing." Lauren spits.
"I am flattered that you'd bother to eavesdrop what I said biy for the record, dance and music."
"Hmm. What styles of dance?"
"Just jazz, tap, modern, ballet, lyrial, contemporary." I smirk, leaving her gobsmacked. (A/N I love that word!)

I am changed so I walk away from the scene of crime and to my next lesson.

At dance

I hum the music to my new jazz solo as I press down on the door handle to the studios to get ready for my lessons. "Hey Tris!" Two familiar voices simultaneously corus
I pivot on my heels and find Tori and Susan staring at me with dimples in their cheeks and light in their eyes. "Hey." I say in response. "Susan, I didn't know you came here."
"I didn't until today, I have just started. My mum said I should do a bit of excersise so I picked dance. I am just going to start off wirh modern and musical theatre but I am really excited!"
"Great. And that means that when we're in our separate houses at school, we can still see each other! I've got ballet now and coach Amar is coming to watch all of my lessons which will be a bit creepy but I have got to go and warm up. See you later!" I say, waving.

I stretch like normal and pull on my forrest green strappy leotard with my ballet tights and black legwarmers. Then I put on my black ballet wrap around and walk into the studio.

A/N I want to do the dance lesson in detail but I don't want the chapter to be boring it's because so long.
Another one down.

Bye for now Munchkins.... x
