Bound Through Time (Douxie x reader)

Lady of the Lake

{Yn POV}

I wake up to a warm embrace surrounding me.

In my morning haze, I don't think twice about what it could be and I just cuddle closer to it.

I hear a chuckle followed by a soft hand moving the hair out of my face

"Comfy are we" I hear a voice say

I grumble and then open my eyes to see a chest in front of my face

My eyes follow it upwards and I am met with hazel eyes

I blush slightly but I don't pull away, rather I hide my face back in his chest

"Shut up, you're warm"

I hear him chuckle again as he pulls me even closer to him in a hug

We both let out a content sigh and we just lay there, enjoying each other for what time we can.

I almost forget about the nightmare I had had last night, but the memory of it stays in the back f my mind.

"Are you alright?" Douxie asks

I look back at his face to see him already looking at me

I must have squeezed him when I remembered my nightmare

I sit up and I hug my knees to my chest as I look away from him

I feel him sit up beside me

"I had a nightmare. I was reliving what happened with Morgana, only this time, she stayed to finish you and Merlin off in front of my eyes."

Tears stream down my cheek and I feel a hand on my shoulder

"Yn, look at me, please."

I hesitate for a second before lifting my head from my knees and meeting Douxies gaze

"It's ok," He says, "I'm right here"

Those words just cause more tears to fall and I feel Douxie gently grab my face and use his fingers to wipe the tears away.

He then leans down and rests his forehead on mine

I close my eyes as he speaks to me

"I won't let anything happen to you Yn, not now. Not ever."

I open my eyes as he opens his as well

"I will protect you for as long as I can"

He pulls his head away slightly

I smile softly at his words and I lean into his touch as I reach up to place my hand on his.

We then hear the door open and we both drop our hands and look to see Archie walking in

"I hate to interrupt you two, but we need to figure out how to fix everything that happened the other day."

My smile drops as I remember the battle we had yesterday

"You're right Arch, let's head to Merlin's workshop. We can figure out what to do there. Maybe Merlin will be able to help us as well." Douxie says

He looks at me as if to ask if I approved the plan and I nodded in agreement.

"Alright. Arch, you get Claire and Steve and bring them to the workshop as well. Yn and I will meet you there." Douxie instructs 

Archie nods and flies out the door

Douxie looks back at me and I grab his hand, squeezing it. I could tell he blamed himself for what happened with Morgana

"We will find a way to fix this. Together."
