Bound Through Time (Douxie x reader)

"Welcome back to the 21st century!" Douxie says with a smile as we fly through the rift and back into our own time

"Ah! Sweet, sweet pollution. How I missed you!" Steve says as he inhales deeply, resulting in a coughing fit.

I look at him concerned when his phone suddenly starts going off, gaining his attention, 

"Heh! And reception! Hot dang! So many messages," I smile at him before my focus is taken by Jim who lets out a shout of pain

"Jim! Hold on, please!" Claire says, kneeling by his side

I feel useless

Because of the injuries and drain from the battle, I could barely move

Even if I could I didn't know any healing spells that would cure Jim's corruption.

"Man, oh, man! Could this get any worse?" Steve says obviously distressed

Just as he said that we see the castle fall through the sky before us

My eyes widen and I look over, making eye contact with Douxie

He nods his head at me before growing serious and flying our ship towards an opening in the castle

"Need a lift?" Douxie asks with a smile as we pull up to a balcony

"Douxie! But you're trapped in the past!" I hear Archie say as he flies up to his familiar's face

"Not anymore," Douxie says hugging him softly before reaching to help Merlin onto the ship

"Took you long enough. We have much to talk about," Merlin says to Douxie before his gaze wanders to me still laying on the ship

Before he can say anything Jim lets out a shout as Toby, Arrrgh and Blinkie rush over to their friend

"Oh, no, Jimbo! What's happening to him?"

"The shard, it's moving to his heart," Claire explains

"I'm getting everyone home safe, as promised," Douxie says, moving his staff to pilot the ship

Before we can leave Merlin stops him

"Not yet! We're missing one!"

A small green creature shouts as she rushes out of the castle and jumps onto the ship

"Merlin!"

She lands on Steve who lets out a scream in surprise

I feel something soft on my hand and I look to see Archie standing by my side

He doesn't say anything and I just smile at him, beginning to pet his head as Douxie maneuvers the ship around the falling castle

Douxie lets out a sigh of relief as we escape the ruins and head off toward the ground

We land in the ruins of what looks to be the school

"I guess school's out for the ever. Aw, man, I never cleaned out my locker!" Steve says as he slides down the ship's wing. His excitement quickly turned to disappointment

"Your beautiful school home was crushed," the small creature says, jumping out of the ship and landing beside Steve

"So..." Toby says with a chuckle, "now that we've cheated death, quick Q. Who's the little magic plant lady?" He asks turning to Merlin

"Nari. She renounced the Arcane Order and sought asylum in Camelot," Merlin explains

I try to sit up slowly as everyone climbs off the ship
