Sleepovers & Kisses 🌝

A/N: Hey! This one is from a Goldric request by @razor_is_bby! Also, this takes place in an AU where Hunter is happily living with Eda, King, and Luz after the whole Belos incident, and Hunter and Edric are dating.

Basically, it takes place a while after Season 2, Episode 16 as if Belos just vanished from this world- Nobody cares about what happened to Belos we are here for the Goldric fluff. 

(Also I *may* have set it up as a bit more intense than a sleepover date 😐)

Every day this week, Hunter had walked Edric back to the Blight's house. And every day this week they clasped hands, enamored with each other's presence.

Whenever the pair neared the Blight family manor, however, Hunter could sense Edric's growing stress and worry. Hunter knew his boyfriend had somewhat of a bad at-home life, but he didn't think it was that concerning, until one day Edric broke down in front of the manor, refusing to go any farther inside.

Hunter was surprised and troubled by Edric's clear distress as he melted down to the floor in tears, he had always seemed a little hesitant to leave Hunter to go home, but never to this level of extremity.

"I-I just can't do it- They s-said if I didn't tell, it w-would be okay- I don't want to go back there..." Edric cried with heavy sobs interrupting his speech as he knelt down next to Hunter's legs.

Hunter crouched down so he could rub his boyfriend's back and spoke to him softly, "Hey, hey... It's okay Ed, if you don't feel comfortable going back there right now, you can always stay at the Owl House!"

"I'll get Eda to talk with your parents, but for now you can stay with me for the night. Think of it as a sleepover, or maybe even a date..." Hunter said the last part with a blush lingering on his face.

Edric nodded, still looking quite a bit distraught.

"You don't have to talk about it right away, but if something is going on in your family that someone else should know about, you can always talk to me...!" Hunter said with a sad, but sympathetic smile.

"O-Ok... I will..." Edric mumbled to Hunter as he wiped his eyes and stood.

"Can I stay with you? That sounds a lot better than going back to the manor right now..." Edric said after a short silence.

"Of course, you can stay with me! Like I said before, think of it as just a sleepover we are having for fun!" Hunter replied, trying his best to sound enthusiastic despite his worry for Edric.

The two quickly made haste to change directions to reach the Owl House before dark, with Hunter wrapping his arm around Edric and Edric resting his head on the other's shoulder.

They had to walk for a while before reaching the Owl House but soon it came into their vision.

Hunter opened the door, calling out to Eda to tell her Edric was staying over, then told Edric to wait in Hunter's room. After Hunter officially moved into the Owl House they gave the spare room a makeover for Hunter.

Edric slowly stumbled away to Hunter's room, while Eda questioned why Edric looked like he had been crying.

"Edric needs to stay over with us tonight!" Hunter begged.

"Please! He can't go back to the Blight Manor because of a family... situation."

"Hunterrr, please elaborate so that I can help you kids."

Hunter heaved a sigh and explained to Eda how Edric's parents had been treating him.

"I knew those Blight parents were trouble..." Eda mumbled under her breath before answering that Edric could stay as long as he wanted and that she would have a stern talk to his parents.

Hunter walked over to his room to check on Edric and told him not to worry, Eda was going to talk to Edric's parents.

"B-but... They'll be so mad at me for hiding with you... They are already homophobic, I don't want them to come after you too..." Edric replied with tears returning to his eyes.

"Hey, hey... Don't worry, Eda can hold her own, even without magic. Your parents can't do anything, alright babe?" Hunter said, pulling Edric closer.

"...Mhm..." Edric replied uneasily.

"Okay so then what shall we do first on our night together?" Hunter questioned, holding Edric's hand and guiding them to sit on Hunter's bed.

"Mmm... I dunno!" Edric said with a laugh.

"Well we could... Watch a movie! The human helped me find Boiling Isle's streaming service, so we could watch it on Luz's laptop! (She let me borrow it for tonight.)", Hunter suggested.

"That sounds cool!" Edric said with a smile.

Hunter managed to set up a movie for them both and he turned the lights off, so that the two partners could cuddle under a cozy blanket while watching their movie, and that is what they did.

The soft dialogue of the movie played as the two sat comfortably with each other.

Eventually though, Edric found himself staring at something else other than the movie... The light shone on Hunter's face perfectly and Edric had a full-on gay crisis while watching Hunter.

Eventually Hunter caught on at Edric's clear distraction from the film and realized what was up.

Edric rested a hand on Hunter's waist and leaned in so that their noses were almost touching. Hunter nodded before Edric slowly closed the gap between the two, messily pressing their lips together, they enjoyed their moment for a while until Hunter began to lean Edric back into the bed.

Hunter was on top of Edric now and they continued to make out, only stopping for a gasp of air, the movie left playing in the background.

Finally the two became exhausted and weary from the day's struggle and the make out session they had had that evening, and they decided to lie back down on the bed together.

Hinter switched off the movie, which neither of them had watched much at that point, and lay back down, before burying his head in Edric's shoulder.

Soon Edric felt Hunter's breathing fade into a quiet snore and he chuckled quietly to himself before falling asleep aswell.
