˗ ˏ ˋ ♪ Evan raced down the stairs, panting because he hadn't exercised in ages.

He was completely angry at his friends for not letting him know of their arrival, also the fact that they weren't even invited. He just wanted to be alone in his room and practice crosshatching so he could complete his sketch. But nooo, his friends just had to pull up their usual shenanigans.

As soon as he saw Sydney and Iris knocking over bookshelves he started his signature monologue.

'You guys just showed up to MY house for a huge ass party without letting ME know?! I have people walking into my bathroom already, and shit just got worse. For God's sak- wait is Iris here? She's still alive? I thought she died after her year long disappearance. Back to what I was saying, I'm extremely pissed at you guys', Evan went on and on and no one even paid attention to what he was saying.

Iris looked around awkwardly as Evan mentioned her name and continued with his rant. Iris had dark long hair and almost always had a hoodie on whenever you saw her. Well... thank is, if you saw her. Iris was a mysterious girl who never came to school or replied to messages, yet was present in every party to knock down things with Sydney.

Randy looked up from her fifth glass of milk and stared at him, utterly annoyed for the interruption he brought forth in her personal goal to defeat her lactose intolerance.

'IRIS, LET'S BURN PAPER!" Sydney yelled acting completely unaware of Evan's long agitated yells and skipped towards the kitchen to find a match.

Iris followed after her, leaving Evan behind with his tightly folded arms.

Reneè and Meg wheezed on the side as they noticed how everyone just ignored Evan and continued on with their shenanigans. It was always funny to see Evan act as a father only to be ignored as if he's an insignificant middle child. Meg laughed as she held onto Reneè who had a five hundred dollar bracelet wrapped on her wrist.

Reneè was one of the quiet ones amongst the group yet she was closest with Meg. Reneè's family was extremely rich which explained the expensive highlights in her straight brown hair.

Kevin just awkwardly stood in the middle of the room with his hands inside of his pockets as he balanced himself on the heels of his feet.

'Since when did you change into a plain black shirt?', May inquired with her eyebrows raised.

'Oh, I changed my red shirt because I felt like it', he shrugged.

Anna stood in the corner with a cup of orange juice in her hand and a tired expression on her face. Michelle and Franny stood next to her chatting constantly while she stayed quiet.

"Hey you look a bit distressed. Is everything okay?" Franny asked as she put a hand on Anna's shoulder.

"Yeah, I just haven't talked to Daniel the whole night." She replied dully.

Anna's two best friends danced to the music that was playing in the background while Anna stood there with a forced smile. Her eyes were fixated on Daniel as she saw him playing pong pong with some new exchange student Anna hadn't seen before.

She craved his presence, especially in the midst of all these people. She needed to be with him and feel his arms around her. She loved him so so much. ˎˊ ˗

And what she truly wanted was to be with him.

Anna was relatively shy and hesitated before walking up to him, so she decided to wait until he was done with what he was doing. After a series of shouts and laughs, Daniel makes eye contact with Anna and smiles. He asked to be excused from his friends and came to join her.

"Hey, Anna! Are you enjoying the party? he asked joyfully.

"If I have to be honest, no, Daniel. I wanted to spend it with you but you're barely glancing in my direction', she frowns.

Daniel's usual smile vanishes.

'Anna, sometimes I wish you understood I have to spend time with my friends, too. Don't get me wrong, I do love you, but it's just not possible for me to be with you all the time. Why don't you socialize with people here?'

'Look, I mostly came here for you and I'm not in the mood to make new friends at the moment, so if you don't want to spend time with me, just say it'.

"I already told you I love you, Anna, why can't you understand that?', he said with a louder voice than he usually used with Anna.

Anna's eyes went wide and the people around him turned to look at them. Whispers and gasps spread like wildfire and Daniel's eyes filled with panic. It was as if he cared more about his image than his real self. He feigned calm and shook it off as if nothing had happened.

Daniel looked into Anna's eyes and leaned forward. He brings his mouth to hers and all anger she had for him goes up in smoke.
