That's what I'd like their breakup to look like.
______________________________________Mia came across a distressed look from River, who was standing in the back of the van, helping to collect circus equipment. Her brows drew together in surprise, and she no longer heard what the others were saying. The brown-haired man was also looking at her, and his eyes reflected those mixed emotions that were now tearing him apart from the inside. He jumped to the ground, taking a couple of steps towards her. Mia took several heavy steps towards him, and a second later the guy took her by the hand, leading her to a clearing hidden from prying eyes. Stephanie watched them go, frowning.
- I don't think they should listen to this, - he looked up at her with a heavy look, stopping, and the red-haired woman almost bumped her face into his neck, - This is not their conversation.
- Yes, you're right, - the girl pursed her lips, hoping not to betray herself, - Are you leaving?
He nodded in confusion, not knowing what to say, and then took his girlfriend's hands, hoping to comfort her.- Don't worry, I'll be back, - his lips twitched slightly, stretching into a sad smile, and Mia immediately turned her attention to them, absorbing his words like a sponge, - And you and I will definitely have a rest in your house.
- I am... So happy for you, - her eyebrows arched up, showing the full extent of despair she was feeling right now, - but so am I... I'm very worried...
- Me too... Believe me, it's very difficult for me to leave you...
Тhe redhead closed her eyes, trying to blink away the unbidden tears, and then squeezed his palms.
- This is your dream! You need this...
There was such sadness in her voice that made the guy's eyes sting-in fact, how dare he leave this treasure alone? He nodded, smiling slightly, and leaned slightly towards her, making the redhead feel the whole gamut of emotions that she always felt next to him.
Mia let go of his palm, her right hand gently touching the neat mole under his eye. River froze, afraid to scare off all the fragility of the moment. She had never been like this with anyone, and he was the first to feel her tenderness-not counting animals, of course.
Mia ran her palm over his cheek, soon feeling her own hand covered by a wide brush. He chuckled a little, wrapping his fingers around her slender fingers.
- Can I do something stupid now?
Her skeptical look made him grin. Mia snorted, smiling.
- You know that I'm not the biggest fan of nonsense...
- I hope, - he ran his palm over her face, leaning closer, and Mia swayed to meet him, - that you will like this nonsense...
She almost laughing looked up at him, and he did not hesitate. Cupping her neat face in his hands, he leaned towards her, gently touching her lips with his.
Mia froze, afraid to scare him off, and River interpreted this as disagreement. But just as he was about to pull away from her, she suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck, forcing him to literally suffocate in their kiss. His eyes closed completely by themselves, and the guy leaned forward so that it was more convenient for her to reach out to him. His hands slid around her waist, wrapping around her, and the brown-haired man pulled her to him, hugging her.
Mia's hands dug into his overgrown curls, squeezing slightly, and the guy mumbled contentedly, and his own legs almost gave way. It seems that if he doesn't pull away from her now, he will never do it again. His thoughts were confused as soon as the redhead ran her hands over his neck, entwining it.
Mia pressed excitedly against him, biting his lower lip, and River gasped contentedly, deepening the kiss. It was amazing. Emotions were tearing them apart from the inside. Damn it, they were sixteen, they were in love and hormones were playing pranks in their bodies, forcing them to do crazy things.
A year ago, Mia didn't even think about boys, their attention or something like that, always slightly skeptical of her friends' conversations about people of the opposite sex. But River literally burst into her life. She remembered their first meeting in detail.
His appearance was unexpected. His comments were clear and to the point. His jokes were funny. His gaze was warm and admiring. But then he wasn't looking at her. On Emma.
Then she did not know how much this curly-haired boy with an unusual name would sink into her soul. However, even then she realized that he would become a good friend to them. And then she fell in love with him. Without realizing what was happening to her, she behaved strangely and looked away every time he looked at her. And when he suddenly released Emma and turned his attention to her, Mia was delighted.
They spent so much time together, living in the jungle and caring for animals, they even went to school dances together. They rescued a wild kitten, flew side by side in an airplane, ran through the jungle and organized competitions.
And now he was kissing her. And it made her legs give way. Mia excitedly pulled away from his lips just a centimeter to inhale and look into his beautiful brown eyes.
A second passed and they both laughed, closing their eyes. Mia said, laughing.
- From this angle, you look like a cyclops!
River nuzzled her cheek.
- You too, I'm not the only one!
The girl giggled. The guy grinned, approaching her again.
- Love you.
He stopped her from continuing, briefly kissing her on the lips. But as soon as he pulled away, Mia kissed him again. As soon as they had a chance to talk again, River exhaled.
- If you keep doing this, I won't be able to leave.
The redhead giggled.
- Well, it'll be better for me, - she hesitated, smiling tenderly at him, - love you too.
They looked at each other, and River buried his forehead in her shoulder.
He will definitely come back to her.
