"So since you married my mama can I call you dad" My son Malik asked Radric as they played the game in our bedroom.
"You can if you want to but I tell people you my son already cause you are" Radric said glancing at him before looking back at the tv. I pulled my phone out and started recording their moment.
"Well I got a surprise for you dad" Malik said pausing the game before jumping up and running out the room.
"You know about this surprise, why you recording" He asked turning around on the bed looking at me.
"Of course, I took him to get it" I said giggling. "And you're gonna love it" I told him before Malik ran back in the room with the box in his hand.
"Here you go" Malik said giving him the box before adjusting his glasses and sitting back down.
"What's this" Radric asked slowly opening the box while looking between us. We both ignored him and watched him open it. "A shirt" He said picking it up.
"Read it out loud" Malik said before looking at me nervously.
"Will you adopt me? You want me to adopt you" Radric asked as tears welled up in his eyes.
"Well if you want to but I already tell people you're my dad cause you are" Malik said smirking.
"Hell yeah I'll adopt you give me a pen" He said pulling Malik into a hug. "I love you baby boy" He said kissing his head.
"I love you too Dad" Malik said making my tears start to fall. I raised him by myself for 5 years till 3 months after me and Radric got engaged I let them meet and they've been close since.
"Why you crying Wife" Radric asked looking up at me.
"Because where were you 9 years ago and I'm pregnant" I sobbed as I ended the recording.
"You pregnant" They both asked excitedly.
"Yeah" I said wiping my face while yawning.
"All this good news in one night, I'm the happiest man alive right now" Radric said happily. "We gotta get these papers done ASAP" He said looking in my night stand getting a ink pen. He said he wanted to help me take care of my son and he's done nothing less than that.
