Daphne was uncomfortable in the silence. She felt like she spoke too much, and too soon.
"You know what, Daphne?" Velma speaks furiously.
"What?"
"I don't like you trying to make a little pity party here. We're coworkers, not 'BFF'S UWU WE SHARE EVERYTHING.' Not anymore, not after you didn't consult ME about getting with MY crush from the Harry Potter Film Franchise."
Daphne and Shaggy gasp.
"That's right. I've loved Draco all along, and you never even cared enough to notice. I watched in the shadows, seeing how much you loved him on the screen. Little did you know that I was there too, destined to be together on the same screen as The Handsome Draco Malfoy, listening lovingly to what he'd tell his father about. I was never meant for the Scooby-Doo Franchise; I was meant to be a wizard schoolgirl and end up with my soulmate."
Daphne gasps alone. Velma's hand gravitates towards the "seat eject" button. "I'm not an awful person, Daphne. I'll give you a chance you redeem yourself. If not, you'll skydive out of this flying car and into the river below us. Say you don't love Draco anymore."
"I could speak those sorrowful words. O, what a lie it would be! Lord, give me an option, an opportunity! Wherefore art thou Draco? Wherefore art thou Draco! Thy hands shan't eject me mercilessly, Velma. I will eject myself and exalt the Malfoy name as I fall."
"Okay" Velma shrugs. Daphne reaches up to the seat, lurching forward to click the button.
"TOOOOO MALLLLFOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYY!" DAPHNE SCREECHES.
