'I'm hurting, baby, I broken down, I need your loving, loving, I need it now ...'
Maroon 5's Sugar played from my phone as I groggily tried to persuaded myself to get up.
It wasn't working.
Eight o'clock was too early for the summer holidays and I'm pretty sure you can tell, I am not a morning person.
When five minutes had past I had finally rolled out of my comfy bed. Literally, rolled, in the processes falling on the floor but, hey, at least I was up. The sun was streaming through my windows so as I stud up, slid on my Ray bans and headed onto the balcony.
Leaning on the balcony railing, I looked down at the garden, I couldn't believe this is my house I was still in awe at what I saw and I had sat up here for hours last night. You could see the whole garden from here, the tennis and basketball courts, swimming pool, veranda and I even think there was a baseball field near the back of the garden. We had got a vast amount of grass in the garden which would soon be marked out with a football field but I'm pretty sure there would be plenty of grass left, even with that there. I also spotted a building towards the back too, it looked like one of those fancy sheds that actually doesn't look like a shed at all. On our land was a river, which I found out was not a lake last night, it ran right through all the neighboring houses connecting us like a dot to dot.
Last night I also got the chance to check out what was behind the other doors in my room. The one on my left as I walked through the door was a walk in wardrobe. I have always wanted one, not like my clothes were ever in my wardrobe. In my old house I was nearly as untidy as my brothers but maybe this would change my ways. Then, I walked into the other room 'thank you daddy' was all I could think because I had a bathroom, yes, a bathroom. And before you say anything, after sharing a bathroom with at least one of my brothers for my whole life this was one of the best presents my dad had ever gotten me, no more barging in while I'm getting ready to go out, no more toothpaste over the sideboards and no more toilet seat left up. Finally.
"Lie."Someone shouted taking me from my thoughts. Speaking of my brothers. Walking into my room I looked around, there was no one there.
"Lie."
"Trent? What joke are you pulling? Where the hell are you?" I said as I opened my bedroom door. He wasn't there.
"Lie!"
"For Christ's sake Trent, where are you!" I yell at the empty hall.
"Damn it, Lie. The intercom. The intercom!"
The intercom? I turned round to find a box beside my door, inside my room with a button and flashing green light. Pressing the button in I spoke.
"Trent?"I hesitated.
"It's about time and you say we are dumb." He said.
"Excuse me but no one told me there was an intercom system here." I defended myself.
"Well how else are we meant to get messages around the house, run?"
"Ok, ok. Do you have a point of calling me on here."
"Dad says practice is in twenty." He informed me, I looked down at my watch it was ten past eight.
My face dropped.
"I'll get ready." Releasing the button and sprinting into the bathroom, speeding through a shower, not bothering to wash my hair. I would sweat and have to get back in after practice so there was no point. Checking my phone I had ten minutes so I quickly brushed my teeth and dragged a brush through my hair.
