Hey,
since it's the holidays I've managed to squeeze in another chapter I hope you like it. Above is a resistance sprint video which is one of the exercises used in this chapter and a picture of the style gym the Collins have but theirs is bigger.
Thanks, Hayley X
Rosalie's POV
'Don't look down
Up this high, we'll never hit the ground
Don't look down
See that sky, we're gonna reach it now'
I slammed my hand down on my alarm and dragged my hands down my face in attempt to try and wake me up. It's 7:00, training starts at 8:30 but since it was football week on Monday I needed to get my strength up. So like the insane person I was I got up getting into my workout clothes; there was no way that I was about to do weight training in my gear it was a Friday morning for god sake, but I knew my dad was going to next week but hey I'm working up to it. I still grabbed my gear as I made my way out of my room because I'd need it for training later.
It was strange walking through the house hearing none of my brothers shouting and messing around but it was 7:10 so I suppose no one would be up, well apart from my dad maybe. The silence was actually quite nice all I could hear was my own footsteps, usually I don't like silence, is it crazy when I say that it's too loud and growing up with five brothers things are never quiet; but right now I don't mind it, it was a nice change to the chaos.
As I got to the kitchen I saw dad at the breakfast bar looking at a play book. "Hey, Rosa," he double takes, "Rosa?" I took a seat next to him placing my gear on the chair next to me.
"Yep, I know I know I'm actually up early. I'm gonna do some extra strength training because let's face it I might beat the boys in stamina but I don't have a scratch on them in strength, and if I'm guessing right you won't make it any easier for me next week so here I am." I told him. Another thing with football week is that you work up to the best person's standard for example, I will have to do the same amount of strength training as Bren because he's the strongest of us.
Grabbing something to eat I asked, "Do you know where the weight sled is?"
"Yeah it's in the gym. After you've finished eating I will come and get it with you."
"I didn't know we had a gym." We had one at our old house in the shed but it was just bits and pieces.
"It's in the fancy shed or whatever you want to call it, it's more like a guest house to be honest but full of gym equipment. There's even dance studio on the second floor with mats and everything."
By the time I had ate my breakfast it was 7:20 so I headed to the bottom of the garden with my dad. "I'm glad to see you putting extra effort in I wish your brothers would do the same."
"Yeah, well I want to eliminate my weaknesses and I don't want to just say 'oh, I'm a girl I can't lift that much' a real athlete doesn't make limits for themselves." I shrugged.
"And that right there is why you should try out for the school's football team Rosa. Yes, they may judge you at first but once you show them what you can do they will all shut up because you can do exactly the same as boys on the football field and better. You deserve a place on the field."
"And I have one here."
"You know what I mean." Giving me a look. We reached the 'guest house' it had lots and I mean lots of windows it was practically made of glass, dad unlocked the sliding door and headed inside. Following him my jaw dropped, it was a fully equip gym with two pieces of everything imaginable and would easily fit all of my brothers in here at the same time, we would definitely get use of this.
