AMELIA WAS ALWAYS GOOD AT KEEPING SECRETS. She's been doing it for years now, and she's gotten pretty good at it. Her being a superhero, her brother being a retired superhero, her knowing tony stark personally, etc.
But those secrets were easy to keep. And she at least didn't get caught with one of them.
until now.
Peter was baffled. One of his best friends is the mysterious superhero he had met a few times before.
He watched as amelia jumped of the fire escape and ran out in the dark. He should probably go follow her, but he wanted to think about this whole situation.
Everything started to click. Hector A, Amelia making josh fly across the hallway, and her ring.
Peter slowly took of his mask, and pursed his lips together. "God, i'm so stupid."
"stupid about what?" a voice called from behind him.
Peter turned around to see mj sitting by amelia's window. "stupid about how you think that you being spider-man isn't obvious?" she asked.
Peter stood there, still holding his mask with a grip on his hands. "W-what? Mj what the hell-"
"-I slept over today, I was sound asleep until I heard you pacing around, you good parker?"
Peter was still really confused, "I'm okay, b-but how are you okay with this?" he paused. "and why aren't you freaking out? And-"
Mj stood up and walked towards him, "-relax peter, i've been knowing for a while now." she started to rub her eyes, probably because she's still half asleep. "So, I don't really care about that. But I did see the little message you left her on the bridge, pretty cheesy if you ask me. But we're talking about amelia, and knowing her, shes probably head over heals right now. And she doesn't even know that it's you!" she furrowed her eyebrows together. "where is she right now anyway?" she asked.
Peter couldn't make up a lie, he was too focused on...a lot, really.
"uhm..I don't know?"
Mj scanned peter with her eyes and gave a 'I know you're lying' look. "I better see her in the morning, because I know that you know where she is." mj said, a little attitude in her voice. "i'm going back to bed, goodnight parker."
"okay, good night."
Once mj went back in the room, peter had decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to meet up with amelia. He just felt like he wasn't ready yet, and that was okay to understand. So instead of meeting her, he stopped at a walgreens, got a little cupcake and present, and left a sweet note with it. He dropped off the present by her window and swung away to the sunset.
Peter didn't know how he was going to react when he sees amelia the next day, but he's going to try his best not to be weird and awkward.
and that's impossible. ____________________________________ AFTER AMELIA TRIED TO FIND SPIDER-MAN, she just eventually gave up. She didn't want to spend her night out looking for him, and she thought that maybe he went to sleep.
