i didn't talk, i couldn't.
for a good hour or so some cotton was put on me, with some liquid.
on my scars, that hurt.
i couldn't talk.
i was diagnosed with anaemia, i knew what it was from a book i read.
it was temporary memory loss.
but no one knew if it was long or short.
i had to be in a wheelchair by the time i'd leave, and it was not long before i'd leave the hospital.
(2 weeks later)
i was able to slightly talk, but it was all mumbled.
i still couldn't remember everything, but i could read and write.
my mum took me home in my wheelchair, i didn't recognise this town.
but i couldn't give up on school.
i want to go to school
i wrote on a piece of paper, i handed it to my mum.
"dear i know, just wait another week please"
my mum letter put me in bed.
i fell asleep pretty quickly.
(weeks later)
it's my first day in school, i'm not in a wheelchair.
i can talk, not fully.
i had to process some words.
my mum took me to school, i was assigned another student to take care of me.
his name was marcus, and he was supposedly a kind student.
(marcus pov)
"she's coming in?" i asked the principal.
"she is, can you take care of her please? don't overwhelm her, be very gentle"
"i will miss,thank you"
she smiled and left.
i waited in the office until a confused girl, holding her mums arm tightly, walked in, slightly weak, with her mum holding her hand.
the mum smiled at me.
"hi marcus" she said, hugging me.
i hugged her back.
"hello Ms Andersson, i'll take care of y/n"
"that's amazing"
"of course, i'm really sorry about what you had to go through, martinus is very very sorry"
her mums face went all numb.
"i'm not sure if i should forgive anyone yet"
"take your time with it,miss"
"thank you marcus." she said.
she leaned down to y/n.
"this is marcus, he will take care of you for the day okay? mum will pick you up afterwards"
the girl nodded; looking at me, slightly nervous.
"hi" i said, trying to avoid hugging her. i had missed her so much.
she still was able to pick out her great outfits, she was just really nervous, and i didn't blame her at all.
i just wanted to protect her.
i held out my hand she looked at it, she then grabbed my hand and we held our hands together.
"b- bye mum" she said.
when we walked to class, so many eyes were on us, but the students were told to not overwhelm y/n
y/n stumbled a lot.
i helped her though.
we walked to class, and my heart dropped when i saw martinus crying in the corner.
(martinus pov)
y/n is back..
marcus is taking care of her.
and i've learnt my lesson.
never disrespect a woman.
i've never seen y/n in such a bad state.
legs constantly shaking.
her not being able to form proper sentences.
it was all my fault.
she doesn't even remember me.
and that's what got to me the most.
i'm just hoping that if she does ever recover and realise who she is, and her past, that she doesn't hate me.
i'll do everything i possible can for her to forgive me in one way or another.
i just needed someone's help, marcus'.
