14. Donkey (requested)

Inside a cottage lived an old witch. Every day, she kept muttering her plans of revenge on King Frederic and all of Corona for selling her son Colon to a farmer, never to be seen again.

To this day, the witch was bitter and felt as if the King had wronged her. As she went out to get supplies, she spotted a young teen boy. On top of his raven-colored hair, a pair of alchemist goggles sat. He also wore an apron and a goofy, bucktoothed grin as he gathered pieces of metal and tools.

"He's perfect! Just perfect..."

Time Skip

On Varian's way home, the witch had stopped him.

"Uh, h-hi! Is there anything I can do for you, Miss?" Varian asked.

"There is. Come now, boy," the witch beckoned.

"Um, ok," Varian said hesitantly. He followed the witch back to her cottage.

The witch asked if Varian would sit down and he did as she went to grab a cup. She poured a mysterious liquid substance into the cup and handed it to Varian.

"Here, have something to drink," the witch offered.

"Thanks," Varian smiled awkwardly. He gulped the drink down in one sip. "This is pretty good! What's in it?"

"It's a potion of my own design," the witch sneered. "Now you'll be strong enough to destroy Corona!"

"Huh?"

Just as soon as Varian had spoken, his ears were replaced with fluffy donkey ears. Varian took notice of this.

"Wait, what is that? Oh no, get them off!" Varian panicked. He tried yanking off the ears but it didn't have any effect.

In just mere minutes, Varian's buck teeth grew an extra inch, he was hee-hahing between each sentence, and he suddenly had a tail. The witch cackled as Varian had transformed into a full donkey.

"What have you done to me?!" Varian demanded. "I want to change back!"

"Not until you help me get revenge on Corona," the witch addressed. She placed a mind control device in Varian's ear. "I've already completed the royal family's transformations and you're now going to obey my every command."

Time Skip

"Guys, help! I'm a bird!" Rapunzel cried- well, chirped. Her and everyone else had been turned into birds!

King Frederic was a peacock, Nigel was a Red Macaw, Rapunzel was a Yellow Canary, Queen Arianna was a Banded Cotinga, Eugene was a Pompadour Cotinga, and Y/n was a Crimson Rosella Parakeet.

"Wow, we're all so pretty!" Arianna gushed.

"We've got to figure out who or what did this to us," Frederic said as he fluffed out his feathers.

"Maybe Varian can help," Y/n suggested. "Let's go find him."

"Uh, I think we already did," Eugene sighed.

"What do you mean?" Rapunzel asked.

There was a giant donkey with goggles on its head stomping around the kingdom!

"Make me bigger, Witch! Make me bigger!" The donkey cackled. A lady who was riding the donkey waved her arms around and the donkey grew bigger in size. He blew the guards away with his braying.

"Is that Varian?" Rapunzel gasped.

"I'm pretty sure. That donkey's laugh is just like his," Eugene explained.

"We have to stop him! Let's go," Y/n tweeted.

All the bird flew over to Varian and the witch.

"Varian, is that you?" Rapunzel called.

"He is no longer Varian!" The witch cackled. "He is my donkey and I'm here to get my revenge on you! You shouldn't have sold my son, Frederic, because I'm going to destroy your kingdom."

"That was eighteen years ago! I'm sorry about what happened, but it's too late," Frederic squacked. "Turn Varian and the rest of us back to normal right now before you get put into prison."

"Never! You're all going to stay this way forever!" The witch bellowed.

Y/n flew closer to Varian.

"Varian, it's me, Y/n! Can you hear me?"

"Hello, Y/n! Wanna come destroy Corona with me?"

"No, Varian. This has to stop!"

"I must obey her commands."

"Y/n, I found something in his ear!" Rapunzel yelled. She yanked the mind controlling device out of Varian's ear and destroyed it with her beak and talons.

Varian shook his head. "What happened? Why am I a giant donkey?!"

"Varian, don't panic! It's going to be alright," Y/n promised. The other birds zoomed towards the witch and pecked her as much as they could before she fell off of Varian. They all caught her and had the guards grab ahold of her.

"You're going to turn us back to normal immediately," Frederic ordered.

"Alright then," the witch sighed. She snapped her fingers and everyone turned back human.

"I'm back!" Varian laughed. He hugged Y/n with excitement. "I can't believe in back!"

"I think she missed changing your ears back," Y/n chuckled. Varian groaned.

"He'll change all the way back with a true love's kiss," the witch snickered. "I assumed he wouldn't have a true love. He looks very wimpy and dorky."

"As if! He has me," Y/n scoffed. To prove it, she brought Varian into a passionate kiss. Varian's face had turned beet red.

"You...like me?"

"Of course I do! I always have, Donkey Boy."

"Hey! I'm gonna start calling you Parakeet if you call me that again."

"I'll get my revenge! Just wait and see, Coronians!"
