14.5. Donkey Epilogue (requested)

This is just a short continuation of the Donkey one shot, requested by VarianWolf . I hope you enjoy it!

About a year later

Varian and Y/n were making their way to the castle dungeons, hand on hand, to go see the witch that had turned Varian into a donkey and everyone else into birds. They felt bad that the witch had to go through losing her son, so they wanted to make it up to her.

"Miss witch, we're here to talk to you," Varian said gently when he and Y/n approached the witch's cell.

"What do ya want, kids? Don't you have something else you have to be doing?" The witch grumbled.

"We understand that you're son was sold as a donkey, correct?" Y/n asked her.

"Yeah, what about it?"

"We have a surprise for you," Varian smiled. "You can come now, Colon!"

The witch turned her head and gasped when she saw her son, Colon, trotting towards his long lost mother.

(He's still a donkey btw)

"Hello, Mother," Colon greeted shyly. "Did you miss me?"

The witch flung herself at Colon and kissed his cheek several times. Tears poured down her face as she repeatedly told Colon that she loved him.

"How did you find him?" The witch wondered.

"We heard news about a talking donkey," Varian explained.

"He really wanted to see you again," Y/n added. "You must've been a wonderful mother before he left."

"I can't thank you enough," the witch thanked. "How can I ever repay you?"

Varian and Y/n glanced at each other before chuckling.

"There's nothing you need to do," Varian promised.

"In fact, when you had turned Varian into a donkey, you made it possible for us to be a couple," Y/n explained. "You've already made us happy."

"Thank you for bringing me back to my mother," Colon grinned. "You both are too kind. You should expect that we'll help you with anything in the future."

"We have your word," Y/n agreed.
