Chapter 5: Friends

It has been a month since Felix arrived and has now been well adjusted to his new life with Changbin and his crew. The other members have taken a liking to the new addition to their small family. How could anyone dislike such a sweet person?

It was Seungmin who first fell in love head over heels with Felix's warm personality. It was during the time when Seungmin was heard singing during one of his breaks that Felix complimented him and asked him to sing more. (Felix roamed the house now especially if he found that Changbin was way too busy in the library).

"I think your voice is the best I've heard in my lifetime." Felix said while smiling sweetly.

Seungmin cleared his throat; trying not to let the compliment get to him, but it was obviously failing since he was already smiling sheepishly wide.

"Well then Felix, sit down on the chair and listen to me practice." Seungmin said as he stretched out his arms above his head and stretched his neck, moving left and right.

Felix earned his first friend so quickly. Seungmin's strong baritone voice sang a lot of ballads. Felix wiped a tear, touched by how he sang.

"That song is entitled My Sea" Seungmin smiled. "It was sang by one of my favorite singers."

Felix nodded. "It's beautiful."

Seungmin sang until his break was over and Hyunjin had to call him out so they could switch places; Hyunjin not quite looking at Felix's direction as he called the other one out. Felix shrugged. I'd have to make friends with Hyunjin hyung another timehe thought.

Suddenly, Felix remembered something: A flash of red hair and a reddening face in the bath when he first imprinted with Changbin. Felix shook his head in embarrassment. Why did he have to remember that now?

Felix watched the back of Hyunjin's head as he walked away swiftly; Seungmin in tow.

The second person Felix had tried to befriend was the youngest member of the Phoenix Wings.

Jeongin was trying on clothes and accessories one day when Felix peeked from behind.

"What's that called?" he asked.

"These?" Jeongin cocked an eyebrow

"These are my newly bought combat boots. They go well with my uniform since all I wear during my duty is black" Jeongin gave a disapproving look of distaste towards his black uniform.

It wasn't at all bad, it being all black with a tinge of gold just around the cuffs and high collar, tight around the chest and waist showing how beautifully built the hybrids were; and a gold Wing crest on the upper side of the left chest. It made the Phoenix Wings look smart; not to be messed with. During summers the uniform was sleeveless. But they also had long sleeved ones. Right now, during the start of spring, they were wearing the long sleeved uniform since it wasn't quite humid yet.

To be honest, Felix knew what combat boots were, he wasn't exactly an idiot or an illiterate from the mountains, but he didknow how to strike a conversation. And that's how he ended up ensnaring the younger one into a full fledged conversation.

Felix's tail wagged. Talking to Jeongin was too easy he told himself. What a cutie.

"Well, what's your favorite color then? I mean, if you're not wearing black."

"God, I am tired of black. But your question..." Jeongin's eye glinted. "Is quite hard to answer. Because my favorite color changes all the time" he sighed.

"But right now my favorite color is yellow." Jeongin drawled on about color combinations of clothes and didn't quite stop there as he rambled on.

For one, Jeongin, being the youngest, didn't have anyone to talk to about these things. His hyungs were always busy doing something else. It was nice that someone asked such a mundane simple thing; it was sort of a breath of fresh air.
