That night, Hyunjin lay in his bed in deep thought; one arm over his eyes as he silently sobbed. His eyes already felt heavy and tired from crying and he just wanted to fall into a deep slumber.
Seungmin knocked on the door of their shared room.
"Hey, you okay Jinnie?" Seungmin asked; concern on his face.
"I'll be fine. Go have dinner Seungminnie... I'm not hungry." Hyunjin turned his back on his friend and pretended to be sleepy.
"I'll ask the maid to just bring you some juice alright?" Seungmin said. Hyunjin felt Seungmin's lips kiss him on his temple gently. The dog hybrid knew why he was crying. He only cried for one person afterall. "I'm sorry I can't take away the pain you are feeling..." Seungmin whispered and left.
After a few more minutes of silent crying, Hyunjin fell into a deep dreamless slumber.
He seemed to be pulled into a blackness that was not at all comforting. But it was better to be here in this void than being awake and in pain.
He was awakened after a few hours of sleep; and checked the time: it was three twenty five in the early morning. He then noted a silhouette lying on Seungmin's bed. But it obviously was not Seungmin. The dog hybrid went and left on guard duty for tonight; along with Jeongin.
The man had his back facing Hyunjin's bed; showing his broad muscular shoulders. The man's blue hair was splayed out on the pillow and he was snoring lightly; his chest gently going up and down. Hyunjin reached out his hand and shook Bang Chan.
"Mmmfff..." Bang Chan stopped his light snoring. "Y-yeah Jinnie?" Bang Chan asked; eyes still closed. Hyunjin took a whiff. "You're drunk Chan?"
Bang Chan chuckled; sleep having left him. "You really woke me to ask me that?" he smiled his handsome smile. He turned to face the red haired ferret and studied his face in the dark. Even in the dark Hyunjin looked just as handsome and intimidating.
"Hmm... not really. But I did want to kick you out of the bed. Don't you have your clinic later? Why are you here?" Hyunjin asked and rubbed his eyes. His eyes kind of hurt from all the crying.
"Heard from Seungmin and Innie you weren't feeling well... So... I decided to keep you company."
"Keep me company? Why? Do I look like a charity case to you?" Hyunjin said; rather annoyed. He wanted Bang Chan to just go away and leave him be.
"Chill... I'm not out here to get you. You don't even need to talk to me." Bang Chan raised both hands as if in defeat.
"But here, take a sip, you look dehydrated." Bang Chan handed the juice that already has all its ice melted. It had been on Hyunjin's desk since a few hours ago.
Hyunjin took the glass and drank it till the last drop. Who knew crying could make you so thirsty?
"You don't need to talk Hyunjin. But Seungmin and Jeongin are worried. They said you barely ate or hang out with them. You don't even ask for their help when you are in heat." Bang Chan said concerned.
"I can take care of myself." Hyunjin muttered; avoiding Bang Chan's gaze. He carefully placed the glass on the bedside table.
"And look how well you are taking care of yourself. You look dehydrated..."
"I said I'm fine! Just leave, will you?!" Hyunjin raised his voice. But Bang Chan did quite the opposite. He held onto Hyunjin's wrist and dragged the boy towards his broad chest.
"You don't need to cry alone all the time... stupid." Bang Chan muttered under his breath; warm breath tickling Hyunjin's ferret ears. Hyunjin blushed and was glad the room was pitch black. Chan's grip was tight; and his muscles flexed on his short sleeved clothes. Hyunjin was still tired from all the crying and now, in someone's arms, he felt like crying again. He buried his face on Chan's chest and began sobbing again.
