↠ narrator's perspective // a decent amount of time before arrival of new kid // nikki:: 4 years of age
It is a boring day in Chester, New York. Raining and pouring (and the old man is snoring is what the kids are singing and it is annoying me half to death). It is indeed a gloomy day and the sun peeks through the clouds like it is saying, "Oops wrong town, buh-bye."
Anyways, Nikki, Jenn, and Kris are all bored out of their mind. Their mother punished them the other day (meaning yesterday) for being rowdy and noisy and having no manners, so she took their gameboy colors and their nintendo 64.
These children are very sad but they are mostly angry. Oh, well.
"I have nothing to do." Nikki says.
"And I'm bored." Jenn complained.
"Go read a book then." Kalel answered.
"Noooo." The girls whined.
"Well too bad, sit there and wait for the sun to set then."
"Meh." Kris randomly said. "Wait, do you guys want to slide down the stairs?"
"Sure, whatever gets my mind over the boredom." Jenn replied.
"Yup." said Nikki.
"Okay, let's go to the stairs!"
________
"Hehe.."
"Dude, watch it."
"Watch yo dumb arse that you don't fricken fall on me."
"KRIS WATCH YOUR MOUTH!!"
And so fifteen minutes of this bickering felt like it has been going on for hours. The kids have been falling on each other while sliding down the stairs and that is what caused the unreasonable bickering. The Oddyette kids never fail to amuse me (sike!). The day has been going well for these three untill the dog (Russ, if any of you forgot) decides to jump on them while they were in the process of sliding down the stairs. They all fell on top of each other and landed on the bottom of the stairs.
Kalel rolled her eyes and decided she will take those hyper-arse children outside with Russ, even though it is wet and partly drizzling.
"Moooooo." said Kris. "Heh."
"Mooooooooom." the girls whined.
"We are bored."
"GIVE ME AN HOUR AND WE WILL GO OUTSIDE IN THE FU-UDGING RAIN AND GO DO SOMETHING LIKE DRAW! OR READ!" Kalel screamed. "Frickling dumbshats." she muttered.
"Sheesh calm yourself." Kris whispered.
"Well let's go color in ze lovely coloring books." Nikki said.
______
"Mommy." Nikki spoke up while she slurped her noodles.
"What?" Kalel replied.
"Yum" Kris randomly said.
"Will we go outside with Russ?"
"Yes we will honey. Russ needs some exercise."
"Okay." Nikki smiled. (creepily, obviously. lol)
______
Meanwhile, some boy (probably around Kris' age or older) was on his bike, his cool bike, and his mother was observing and planning where everything should go in the newly bought house.
This time the Oddyette's were coming onto the sidewalk when the boy "biked" past them.
"Be careful little boy, you could have hurt us and/or yourself." Kalel said
"For real." Kris spoke up.
"Sorry!" The boy replied.
Mhm, your little sorry arse better be, Kalel thought.
So five-sevenths of the Oddyette's went off to walk around the neighborhood and park in their raincoat and rainboots and umbrellas.
They stopped by Grandma Oddyette who tried to force the little ones to eat cookies she has made.
And then they went back home. Nikki took off her outerwear and rainboots and just flopped down on her bed. She was obviously tired and drained out and I think so was Russ because he went straight to his little dog bed.
_____
Everybody (meaning the kids) were dressed and ready to go to bed, yay. Kalel was watching the television and Jack (the dad if y'all forgot again) eating a sandwich because sandwiches are awesome. yay.
Anyways, days come closer and the arrival is nearer. The new kid will be here. Soon.
teehee.
