↠ narrator''s perspective // months before arrival of the new kid// nikki:: 4 years of age
Little 4 year old Nikki was sitting on the swing when her best friend, Diana, spotted her in Nikki's backyard.
"Hey Nikki, can I come over?" Diana called out from her backyard.
"Yeah, lemme ask my mum!" Nikki replied.
But before Nikki could ask her mum, Miss Kalel, Nikki's mum, came to the window and said,
"Diana is welcome to play in our backyard!" Kalel called to them.
"Thanks mama!" Nikki called back to her mother.
"So you wanna go on the good ol' tramps?" She turned to Diana.
"Sure! Why not." Diana replied.

33 minutes later.

"Hey Nikki, can I tell ya somethin'?" Diana spoke up.
Right now the worst thoughts came into Nicolette's head like 'Is her mum pregnant and she wants to talk that maybe she does'nt a brother or a sister' or like 'Is she gonna move'
"Yeah sure." Nikki replied hesitantly.
"So, I'm moving."
"WHAT?!" Nikki couldn't believe it! "Now who's gonna play cops and robbers with our crew and take care of dog, Princess." Nikki continued.
"I don't to leave, too but my parents have since they found good jobs and a cheaper, nicer home."
And both girls started to sob and friggin bawl their eyes out.
"You know we can still call each other." Nikki sniffled.
"Yeah and email each other if we learn to write." Diana laughed.
and Nikki started laughing, too.
"DIANA TIME TO GO HOME!" Diana's mum called out to her.
"COMING!" Diana called back. "Alright, I gotta go. Bye Nikki."
"Bye. See you tomorrow." Nikki hugged Diana.
So little Nikki went up the stairs to her room very miserably from the news she heard and then all of a sudden the door swings open to her room and Kalel, Nikki's mom, jumps on her bed and asks,
"What's up munchkin! Why ya feelin down?"
"Because Diana's movin'."
"OOoh that, yeah her mum told me."
"That's kewl."
"Yeah and i suggest you go to bed because tomorrow's a long day for us cos it's CLEANING DAY. and grocery shopping." And with that Kalel left the room and Nicolette went to get ready for bed. After she left the bathroom she heard a loud bang and thump at the same time so she quickly got out of her room to see what happened.
And wey hey hey what did she see. She saw her sister fall down the stairs on the family dog, Russ, and her Dad, Jack, shoot the wall with his new rifle.
Typical Odyette Household.
So she said goodnight to her family and went to bed.
What excitement can tomorrow bring?
