Dear Shadows
He has returned. Soundlessly he stands in the corner of my cage, like a predator watching his prey. I can feel His cold stare, His eyes tracing every move I make. They do not let Him near me often, yet when He is here, He never speaks. The harshness of his silence cuts deep, I wince as the pain gradually increases. His emotionless eyes draw a noose around my throat, it burns and tightens and I begin to scream, clawing at it desperately. They run into the room, one of Them grab his arm dragging him out of the stark white room, with each step his eyes never leave mine even as my own begin to water. A sharp pain shoots through my arm as cold liquid enters my body, as the ice flows through my veins my eyelids drop down heavier than I can bear, my vision darkens and my eyes close, a single tear falling. I hate this dream. I wonder why my soul will not let me leave it.Love,
Madelynn
