Ch 2: Brain says Avoid You, But Heart says Get Closer To You

Me and Jungkook pull our lips closer and stand in an 'about to kiss position' We were so close that I could feel his cold breath on my skin. My heart was beating so fast, that I must have broken the record for 'fastest beating heart'. We were so close that I could also feel his heart beating fast. Infact, it was beating as fast as mine. I could collapse any moment. But before I collapse, the Director barks "CUT!".

I come to my real self and run towards the makeup. I push open the door and close it as quickly as I opened it. Jungshook stood still there not knowing what he should do. I lean on the cold metal door of the makeup room and and put my left hand on my heart to feel my fast beating heart. Jungkook also comes to his real self and walk towards the makeup room and wait for me to open the door.

As soon as I come to a realisation of what I did, I turn redder than a tomato. What did I just did? Why did I runaway? How could I explain myself? So I decide to do the same thing, RUNAWAY! I quickly change into my normal attire. "Here goes nothing, Hana, Dul, Set!" I open the door and race towards the elevator. I click the elevator button as soon as I reach. Jungkook comes running behind me. Luckily, as soon as he reaches, the elevator doors also open and jump into it. Our eyes meet one last time and the elevator doors closes dramatically.

(Few hours later)

I'm laying in the cozyness of my bed, still holding my hand close to my heart. Suddenly, I stand up. "Tomorrow is another shoot day! How am I going to face everyone, especially Jungkook! Should I quit? No, I can't. I need that money to pay my apartment rents. My mom has done enough paying for my rents." I have two options left: Confess everything or pretend like nothing happened. So I chose the second option: Pretend like nothing happened! The members and the crew also decide to pretend like nothing happened but Jungkook had other plans.

Somehow the time passes and here I'm again in front of the shooting site. I push open the door and walk towards the elevator like a lioness. But as soon as I'm in the elevator and the it lifts me up towards the floor that I must go, I turn into scaredy cat! But I still hold myself as I reach my destination. Avoiding all the crew, I make my way towards the makeup room.

But to my surprise, someone has already assembled the makeup on the table for me. I ask in shock "Who set up this table?" Someone replies from my back, "Me! I did it!" I turn my heel to see who was behind me. It was a woman with medium black hair and brown eyes with a short appearance (even shorter than Jimin!). "I'm Lee Seo Hee, I am the assistant makeup artist. I would be helping you if you are the main makeup artist. Are you the main makeup artist?" Asks the girl called Seo Hee. "Yes! I'm the main makeup artist, Kim Moonbyul" I reply to the question. "Nice to meet you!" Greets Seo Hee. "Nice to meet you too.." Before I could complete, I'm cut off " Let's get on work, we have a lot do!" The assistant makeup artist behaves like the main artist. I let her go, because I was miraculously saved. I could ask her to do Jungkook's makeup so I don't have to face him.

I get on work, grab my brush and start with Namjoon, while I assign Seo Hee to do Jimin's makeup. Everything and everyone was normal except. There was this awkward silence while Seo Hee was doing his makeup. No flirting today surprised me. He just kept staring at her. But I continue to ignore them and do my job.

When I did Taehyung's makeup, it felt like he wanted to say something but held it in. Jungkook was anxiously waiting for his turn. But when I say "Seo Hee, please do Jungkook's makeup." it breaks his heart. While Seo Hee was doing Jungkook's makeup, I complete Suga's makeup and pack my box to leave. I hung my purse on me and swiftly make my way towards the elevator.

I was about to click the elevator's button, but someone holds my wrist and pull me in towards a corner. It was Jungkook! I was flabbergasted. "Don't feel uncomfortable about what happened yesterday. But don't ignore it either. And don't feel uncomfortable about me. Don't ignore me either please." Jungkook says as he stare into my soul. I stood there still, not knowing what to say. "Jungkook! Come for the shoot!" Someone shouts from afar. I free my hands from him and maintain a distance. "Uh.. Um.. Okay" I was out of breath. The elevator door opens and I quickly jump into it. Jungkook keeps looking at me as the door closes yet again dramatically.

What just happened? Why did it happened? This got me all confused. My brain say to avoid him, but heart says a different story. Brain say "Avoid you" but heart says "Get closer to you". What is this puzzled feeling in me.

Meanwhile, Jungkook who is still standing there asks himself "Why did I say this? I practiced what to say a million times today. I had to apologise for making her uncomfortable but my tongue just spoke not to get uncomfortable about what happened and not to get uncomfortable about me!" He turns into the reddest tomato. But he is interrupted when Taehyung says " Jungkook we've been lookin.." he stops as he sees Jungkook. "Why are you so red. Especially why are you sweating in an air conditioned room?" Jungkook ignores his question and goes straight towards the set area. But inside, Jungkook is also puzzled.

He runs into the washroom and looks into the mirror. Why does his heart beats so fast when he sees Moonbyul. "It might be just because she came so close to me!" he answers himself in mind denying the fact that this could be...
