Chapter 10

Days passed by and it was the day the Shins and the Kims have a reunion, well for the parents. The four adults were excited to meet each other again, but not for the kids. Ryujin had to pretend to like Jimin. Jimin had to pretend that her and Ryujin get along and everything's good with Minjeong. Minjeong was nervous to meet Jimin, as always.

It was around 7 p.m., the Kims drove to the Shins while the Shins got ready for the dinner. With the help of Nancy, Jimin finally managed to dress nicely. She wore a long turtle neck shirt covered with an overalls shirt and black boots covering her feet.

"Ah, beautiful as always!" Nancy beamed. Even though Nancy is about thirty five years old, her fashion taste is just like teenagers these days, thanks to Jennie's job and also her daughter who studies fashion in Paris.

"You're just saying that to make me feel better." Jimin muttered while taking a seat on her bed

Nancy took a seat beside her while stroking her long-brunette hair, "Sometimes I wish you could have a chance to look at your teenager self now for at least five seconds, honey." Nancy told her with a sympathetic tone.

"I know, I always thought the same thing." She smiled weakly

"Okay, enough with the sadness! Ever-" Before Nancy could say something, the sound of laughters were coming from downstairs.

"I think they're here."

"Alright, let's go."

Nancy guided Jimin downstairs, with her right hand holding the stick and her left hand holding Nancy's.

"Where's Jimin?" The sound of Taeyeon could be heard from the stairs.

'"She's still getting ready, let me just-oh, there she is!" Jennie exclaimed.

Everyone looked at her and smiled, she knew everyone was looking at her so she tried to put her best fake smile. When she finally stood beside Jennie, Nancy left her to do her work.

"Ah, nini! It's nice to see you again honey. how are you?" Taeyeon greeted her with a warm hug.

"I'm good. How are you?" Jimin answered politely.

"I'm better now that I finally meet your parents again." Taeyeon answered back.

"Jimin, hi!" Tiffany exclaimed from behind Taeyeon and gave Jimin another warm
hug, "Looking beautiful as always."

Jimin just blushed at the comment and gave her a small thank you.

"Alright, the food is waiting for us!" Lisa exclaimed and guided everyone to the dining room.

Soon enough, the dining room was filled with their chats and laughters. Accidentally, the only spot left for Minjeong was beside Jimin, so she slowly sat beside her and tapped her right shoulder. Jimin turned around to face her.

"It's me." She whispered.

Jimin tried to gave her the fakest smile, "Oh, hi! I didn't realize it was you. I just recognized your perfume now."

"It's cool." She beamed softly and whispered, "My ma was right, though."

Jimin whispered back, "Abour what?"

"Looking beautiful as always."

To say that Jimin was embarrassed was an understatement, she could feel her cheeks burning red. Minjeong saw how red her cheeks were and she just smirked and chuckled lightly. She didn't know what made her become so bold, but all she wants is to make Jimin realize that she's beautiful, even though she couldn't see herself. She realized that after she whispered that she saw Jimin
smiled generously while looking down at her lap. The smile was different than the smile she gave her parents before. Ahe knew ever since Monday Jimin wasn't being her usual self. Even though they haven't know each other for
that long, she could read Jimin like a book. But the smile she gave her parents and the smile she gave Minjeong after her compliment was different. She was too curious about that, it's like she was solving a puzzle.
