It was a regular day, 2 weeks after what happened in Cryptious' Museum. Nene was alive and well and they had gone out to eat, the day before today. The mood in the house was very different with Evan gone.
The people who had died
that night had all been marked missing by the public eye. But not by theirs. The four of them knew what happened. They were the only ones. They had a special therapist who was given to them by a secret universal organization called The 4 Quadrants of Eternity. Each quadrant had a different name and a different purpose. The first one was called the time quadrant. The second was the Inciting Quadrant. The third one was the Observers quadrant. The last one was called the eternal quadrant. The Observers Quadrant went to them, telling them not to say anything when something else had happened a few years back. That is how they bribed them to keep their mouths shut about it and not tell a soul, they gave them money to bribe them in a way. It wasn't of any currency to them so they didn't care. So Jobe, Nene, Ella, and Ava knew that after what had happened that night, that she was the person that they could talk to about it. "The people that I work for know about this 'being'. We have heard of him before. In ancient relics there have been carvings and inscriptions about him. The inscriptions of him would show that he was horrible. He tortured people for his power, and had once gotten so mad that he used dark magic to cast a plague over a civilization, killing thousands of people. He almost made humanity go extinct as a whole, but the people I work for went to stop it." "He is a horrible being, and just know that you are heroes to this world, even though no one except you four know it." Elena, their therapist explained. They all nodded and left because their session was now over. They got into Nene's car and drove back to their house. "I'm going to check the mail!" Jobe yelled. He opened their mailbox and inside it was a golden envelope with a red seal on it with no delivery address. He tore off the seal and pulled out a paper. The paper read: You 4 have been invited to a dinner party in the Victorian Era on March 19, 2021. There will be a ball held in the auditorium, starting at about 8:00pm and lasting till 12:00am. You will be picked up by a Chauffeur who will pick you up in a horse and carriage at 7:15pm. You must dress up in attire from this time. If you don't, you will not be invited inside and will have to wait till 10 to be dropped off at your house. This will certainly be a night to remember. From Pandora VIII.
"This seems like something fun." Jobe thought. Jobe closed the mailbox and ran inside with the paper. Showing it to Ava, Ella, and Nene. "I think we should go, it would be nice to take our mind off of things." Ella said. "Yeah, and COVID hasn't been as bad lately so I think it sounds like a good idea!" Ava said. They all agreed and three days later they got ready and were picked up by the chauffeur in the horse and carriage. Jobe had a purple tuxedo on with yellowish victorian designs on it, and black pants, with his hair to the side, almost perfectly quaffed. Ava was wearing a pink gown and a vaudevillian woman's cap, and gold jewelry on her wrists and neck. Nene was wearing a rose gold dress with a corset and brown hair with platinum tips with hoop earrings and a pendant and gold jewelry on her wrists. Ella was wearing a champagne gown with victorian designs on it and her hair curled up into a bun with jewelry on her neck and wrists like Ava. They were on their phones watching tiktok, Nene taking selfies of herself and then as usual and posting it to her snap chat story. They started talking about what they were gonna do at the ball when they saw what looked like an entrance to the estate, but they didn't know if it was because they couldn't see what it said from behind. The place was so big. It was a maroon castle with what looked like 7 stories. And cone shaped roofs on the top of it. They got a bad vibe when they went through the entrance, mostly because the grass on the land was red. They looked down at their laps seeing their phones disappear in front of them. They all looked at each other knowing that whatever was happening wasn't good and that they should have stayed home instead of coming to this dinner party. They looked back at the sign and saw that it was a skull with eyes that looked like flames and had letters that spelt the words: Death Valley written across it. The carriage pulled into the driveway and there were other ones as well. They got out glancing at the sign...
Everyone else then got out of the carriages, and walked inside of the estate in awe as they walked in. It was beautiful. There was a stairway at the end of the room that led to a patch of flooring with one path going to the West Wing, one path continuing forward to the North Wing, and another that led to the East Wing. on both sides of the stairway were doors and they led down to the basement. On the walls beside them were two doors. One that led to the kitchen/dining room. The other door leading to the lobby. Everyone was talking, trying to get a vibe of everyone who attended the dinner party. The weird thing about all of this was that everyone who was invited here knew each other and used to be friends with each other back in highschool. There were 12 people there. Ava, Nene, Ella, Job, Brodie, Elijah, Lily, Adalyn, Matt, Jessie, Gavin, and Angelina. The clock on the front of the castle struck 8:00pm making a dong sound. They all went to the back to the foyer, and a woman with brown hair in a ponytail, brown eyes, a lot of eyeliner, Dark red lipstick, a red crown with tips that glowed an orangish red color, shoulder pads with spikes on them, A red corset like top with black tipped ends, and pointed edges covering her chest, thigh high heels with rough pointed edges, and red wrist bands on each wrist of hers walked down the stairs with a glass filled with red grape wine. "Hello I am Pandora!" she said, looking at everyone as she said it. "Now, let us go to the ballroom to dance and have some drinks!" she finished. "Follow me." They all went through the kitchen out of a side door that led outside, it led to the ballroom. They started dancing with the other people who were already in the room. There was music playing. Graceful music. But then it stopped. The lights started flickering and all other people who were in the room when they walked in, the people they were dancing with, just disappeared. Including the host of the party, Pandora. There was only one other thing in the room with the 12 of them. A hideous monster with eight eyes that was red, and looked like a giant crab, with tentacles coming out from its head. It had giant muscular arms with crab-like claws, and eight giant crab legs. It also had a glowing green stone in its chest. The monster growled and started chasing after them. Lunging its claws out at them as they ran. They tried to run out of the ballroom but the doors were locked. "What is that!" yelled brodie. "I want to get out of here! Why are the doors locked!" Gavin yelled. They were running around in circles around the room, trying not to get killed by the monster. They noticed that when they would run around long enough, that it would rest in place tired for about a minute and then continue to chase them. Elijah got a chair and tried to break open a window, but it didn't work. The glass was unbreakable. They looked around and while the monster was out of breath for the minute he went onto the stage and opened a chest that was on it. The chest had another chest with a note card on it inside. Elijah grabbed it and started reading it. "Find the 3 levers in the room-" the monster got back up and started chasing them again. Elijah read it out loud while they were running. "-to unlock the doors." He finished. "So we need to find 3 levers?" Jobe said while running. "I guess." said Lily. They found one. Gavin jumped up to switch the lever on. Jessie jumped up when she found one to turn it on. Then Nene found one and turned it on. They heard a clicking noise on all the doors, indicating that they all were unlocked, and a card fell from the ceiling. They bolted out of the doors, and the monster followed them. They went back inside of the ballroom and locked out the monster, and then went to get the note. Lily picked it up and read it. "There's 2 keys in this room. They can open the 2 locks that are on the chest you found. Find them for something that you will need." The clock donged and that meant it was 9 o clock. They found the keys after a while and they opened the box. Inside the box was a key and another card. Jessie picked up the card to read it, and Brodie grabbed the key. "The dinner party you have all been invited to is not what it seems. You have been trapped in the estate. You must break the magical barrier covering the land if you want to return to 2021. To do this you will have to obtain 8 mythic stones that you will need to put in their rightful holes in the Death Valley sign. To get each stone, two of you will go into a game where one of you will survive and the other will die. You will have to also kill and deal with each stone's guardian. The catch is that you only have til' sunrise to get all of them. When one person dies in the game of death, the guardian of the mythic stone you are trying to find can be slain and you can get what is rightfully yours. Pandora is trapped here as well. She is also trying to escape. To start the death challenge, you will have to find the hall of death challenge doors so that you can open each door when needed. To open one of those doors you will have to find the key for each one. Good luck, and remember that you might want to try to keep the smarter people alive if you want to go back to 2021." "Wow, that was a lot." Gavin said. "So we're all gonna die?" Lily asked. "Probably..." Angelina answered.
