Chapter 7: Animatronic Horror

It was about 100 years Pandora and Soterio had been trapped in Death Valley. Pandora was in one of the rooms looking out the window. She could see some trees and the moon was in the middle of the sky, moonlight shining into her room. Something red rose up from the ground and blocked the moon. It was a giant red man with glowing red eyes. "Pandora!" He said. "Who are you?" "I am the God of Evil." "Roqious, It is an honor to meet you in person." Pandora said. "I have a way for you to get out of this place." "But you must do exactly what I say." "Anything for you." Pandora said.

They noticed that there was a card on the table in the lobby room. Nene picked it up and read it. "You can find me in the dining room." The 6 of them were scared, and the clock had just donged and that meant it was 3:00am. They went to the dining room and on the table was a key. They realized that they hadn't been in the basement all night. And the two doors that led to it both had locks on them. The 6 of them walked down the staircase and saw that there was a chamber that was filled with smoke. There was a button on the wall next to it that had a cord that led to the chamber. "Should I press it?" Brodie asked. "I guess?" Nene said. Brodie pressed it and the chamber opened. Fog erupted out of the entrance, falling to the floor, and creating an eerie mood. Behind the fog was a red robot dog that looked at least 20 years old. Its eyes looked real and were bloodshot. It was a hollow shell with an endoskeleton in it. It had a collar that said "Sparky" on it. It had sharp claws and sharp teeth and a large long snout. It walked out of the chamber and grabbed at Nene. She screamed and they all went into a room next to the chamber and locked the door behind them. There was a note on a table inside of it. "There is an evil energy attached to Sparky. You need to purify it. Find the 3 bottles of pure essence. When you find them all you will press on a panel on the side of the chamber Sparky lives in. When you press on it a holder for the three bottles will come out and you will be able to put them into it. Find his bone and it will lure him to the chamber and he can be cleansed, once he is cleansed the mythic stone will come out of the bottom of the chamber. The first bottle is in the right corner of the main part of the basement." Ava read. They went to the place the card said, and there was the bottle, lying on the ground. They picked it up and it started to glow when they pointed it to the right. "Why does it glow when we point it this way?" Jobe asked. "I think maybe it's like telling us where to go to find the next bottle." Brodie suggested. "Okay then let's go the way it's signaling." Ava said. They used the light to lead them to the next bottle and eventually found it in the room Pandora stayed in. That one glowed and led them to the next one. They pushed on the side panel and the holders came out. They put the bottles into the holders, and a note fell from the ceiling. Lily picked it up and read it. "You can find Sparky's bone in his death challenge room. It's already opened, and there's a smiley face on the corner." "Do you want to vote here or in the lobby room?" Soterio asked. They stayed down there to vote and Soterio pulled the hat out of his bag with all the pieces of paper with their names on them. It took them about five minutes to finish voting. "The two people that are going into the death challenge are... Gavin, and Nene." "Uh, why would yall vote for me?" Nene exclaimed. "You and Gavin need to prove yourselves." Brodie said. "Brodie! Did you vote for Nene?" Lily asked. "Yes, I haven't seen her do much." Brodie replied. "I'm so sorry nene." Lily said. "It's okay." Nene replied. "I've been helping all night, I don't get why you guys would vote for me." Gavin added. Gavin and Nene went to the hall of death challenge doors and opened the one that said "Sparky." When Gavin and Nene walked into it they saw that there were about 200 dog houses. Pandora appeared behind them. "The bone is in one of these dog houses. Whoever finds it first will survive, the other will die." She said. "I'm going to watch you guys struggle to find it up here." She said again. "How is there so much space in this room, it looks so small from outside?" Nene wondered. "The doors are portals. They lead to different dimensions. That's how there's so much room." Pandora said. "So we're in another dimension right now?" Gavin said. "Yes, you are." "Humans are so dumb!" Pandora said. She rolled her eyes as she flew up to watch them. They started to search through the dog houses when Nene found the bone. "I found it!" Nene yelled. Sparky ran at Gavin. He jumped onto his chest. Gavin screamed and screamed. "Help me!" Sparky clawed at Gavin's face. He opened up his jaw, looked down, Gavin's torso in his mouth, and bit down. Gavin was dead. Nene ran out of the room and sparky followed her because she had his bone. Pandora left and went to wherever she hid. Nene got to the basement and threw the bone into the chamber. Sparky jumped into it and Jobe pressed the button to shut the door behind him and it closed very fast. Sparky banged on the window and then he stopped abruptly. The stone was dispensed out of the bottom of the machine and they now had the next stone.
