Chapter 8: There's Vampires!

"You will have to kill 12 people from the future." "When you do this I will have enough power to set you free, but only you. Not Soterio." "I will bring them here for you, but you must accept this offer." Roqious said. "I don't know, I don't want to hurt anyone else, especially Soterio. I feel horrible." Pandora said. "C'mon you've done it before, you can do it again. And has Soterio really ever done that much for you?" "No..." "Exactly." "If you do, you will not be punished by me when you pass on." Pandora hesitated. "Okay, I'll do it."

Current time...

They went back to the lobby and put the next power stone into the box. It did the same thing as before when they put it in. The cracks and creases and eyes and runes of the box glowing a light red color this time. They heard running, and then they heard nothing at all. All they saw was pitch black. Nene and Jobe woke up about 15 minutes later to the clock making its dong noise, indicating that it was now 4:00 o'clock am. The 2 noticed that they were in what looked like a jail cell, they were in a pillory. There was a note on the floor in between them. It said, "Find a way to escape this cell in forty five minutes. If you don't the walls next to you will close in and you will both be crushed to death. Jobe looked around and saw that something was in the pocket on his shirt. It was a key. He reached into the pocket. Getting little splinters in his arm from the old wood the pillory was made of as he did so. He turned his hand around so far, almost tearing tissue and tendons in his wrist. But he eventually got the key into the lock to unlock it. "Girl don't leave me plea-" Jobe interrupted her. "I'm not gonna leave you, chill out." He rolled his eyes as he spoke that sentence and looked around for a key. "Nene..." "What?" "The key is in your hair." Nene gasped as Jobe said that to her. "Did he mess up my hair?" "Yeah, it's like... teased now in the middle of your hair." Nene grunted. "Oh whatever monster did this to me is gonna get their-" the sound of the pillory being unlocked blocked out the next word she said. "Rocked!" Now they were both out of the pillory and they had to find a way out of the jail cell. After about twenty minutes of searching they found the key to unlock the jail cell in a loose brick in the wall. They unlocked the door and realized they were in a part of the basement that they hadn't explored earlier. On the way out they passed a sign that was pointing to the area of the house they were in that said, Dungeon, this way. "Girl, we were in the dungeon!" Nene said. "I know but we escaped, and we are betta' than eva'." Jobe said. "Ooh purr, I love how you are finally picking up on my lingo." They walked out of the basement and were now in the foyer. "Let's look for Lily, Ava, and Brodie." Jobe said. "Not Brodie, we don't like her because she voted me into the death challenge room." Nene said. They walked into the lobby room, but Brodie, Lily and Soterio were the only ones in the room. "Where's Ava?" Jobe asked. "I don't know? When the lights turned off you, Nene, and Ava were gone." Brodie answered. "Yeah and we didn't know what to do so we just stayed here." Lily added. They went to the only wing they hadn't explored tonight. The right wing. They went up the 70 steps and it led them to a big room with a throne inside. Ava was sitting in it. Her hands were tied to the big handles on the right and left of it, and her mouth was taped shut.She also had an IV line in the middle of her arm where blood is drawn. Her blood was going down the line and into a bag. He was holding a wine cup that was made out of a bone-like material with a skull attached to it. There was an eyeball in a jar on the table next to him and there was also a blade that was very sharp that was lying next to the jar, next to the blade was a white jewel. The man had a black tuxedo on and a red tie. His hair was curly and brown and his face looked so pale that you could see his veins. The color of his eyes weren't brown, or blue, or green. They were red, a deep pigmented red. He had fangs and a red cape. He was a vampire. Ava's torn gown had been sewed back to normal and no longer looked torn, the other parts of her clothes that were torn from that night were fixed as well. Her clothes were now clean and her hair was curled almost exactly the way it was curled when they had first arrived at the house. Her vaudevillian cap was also adjusted and was now on the top of her head and not slumped over like it was earlier. She had a different necklace on though. It was made out of fang-like teeth and had a skull on it that was similar to the one that was attached to the vampire's wine cup. "Soon my love, you will be just like me. Once the ritual is finished, we can be together forever!" "Once this bag is filled, I will pour all of its contents into this cup, put the frog eyeball into it, and you will drink it. Then I will stab you in the heart and you will wake up as a vampire. You will be something the house has never seen before. The second guardian of a mythic stone, my mythic stone!" The Vampire said. He had the black mythic stone in his hand and lifted it into the air. Ava looked at him and looked down at her mouth, indicating she wanted to say something. She had seen that they were there to save her. He took the tape off her mouth. "What is your name... lover..." "Dracula." "Um... Dracula, can you give me the death challenge key for OUR room?" Ava asked in a polite tone. "Umm, I suppose I could. Promise me you won't try to escape?" "Why would I, I love you?" "Okay..." Dracula went down the hallway to the right of the throne Ava was in. Jobe and the others ran to her and got the knife to cut the ropes that she was trapped in. "Thank you guys! I thought I was about to become a vampire." Ava said in gratitude. Jobe cut the ropes and Ava put the knife next to her. "Hide!" Ava yelled. She put the ropes on her wrist to where it looked like they were still tied, but they weren't. She waited for him to come back so she could put her plan into action. "Hello love, can you give me a kiss?" Ava asked. "As he closed his eyes and leaned in she moved her wrists and grabbed the blade next to her. She stabbed him in the neck and he screamed, blood poured out of his neck and fell to the floor. She took the key and ran to the others. "Ava! Behind you!" Nene screamed. Ava froze and turned around as Dracula bit her on the neck. As he unclenched his jaw he said, "I'm dead, I don't need blood to live." He touched the stab mark on his neck because it hurt him even though it didn't kill him. Ava got up from the ground and ran to the others. "It hurts so bad!" Ava yelled. "I know where the medical room is." "Follow me," Soterio said. Jobe and Nene were carrying Nene down the stairs as they walked to the medical room. There was a note on the counter. Lily picked it up and read it. "Ava will turn into a vampire in 10 minutes, find the cure in the box in the cabinet below me." They opened the cabinet below the note and there was a box in it like the note said. "It's locked." Brodie said. "Ugh!" They searched around for a key and found it under a medical bed. Jobe unlocked it and got the antidote out. He opened it and Ava drank it. "Thank you- Agh! It still hurts a little but I can walk it off. Can you put some alcohol on it, I don't want to get an infection or something." "Yeah." Jobe said. He opened up the top right cabinet and got the alcohol out of it. He got a tissue and put some on it. "It's gonna hurt." Jobe said. He put the tissue in the bite mark and stuck 2 big bandages on it. Ava screamed but the pain went away about 5 minutes later. When Jobe, Nene, Brodie, and Lily were talking to Ava when she was trapped, Jobe had eyed the white jewel that lay next to the blade and put it into his pocket. They were now in the Lobby room. "Guys, I have something to tell you." Jobe said. "What?" Brodie said. Everyone in the room looked confused. When we were in Dracula's room I found a white jewel." "I think it might be the 7th mythic stone." Jobe explained. "Then let's put it into the box." Ava said. Jobe opened the box and put the jewel into it, but the cracks and creases and runes and symbols didn't glow. "Why didn't it do the thing that it usually does when you put a mythic stone into the box?" Nene questioned. "What do you mean?" Lily said. "The box usually glows when you put a stone in the box." "It didn't this time. Nene said. Ava went to the corner of the room where they had but the small box the Freak had given them earlier. She pictured the stone in her mind, and then looked at the small box again. The hole on the top of the small box was made to hold the jewel they found. "Give me the stone, I have an idea." Ava said. Jobe opened up the box and took out the white jewel. Ava snatched it from him and put it into the hole on top of the small box and it started glowing. A bright light emitted from the jewel, it was making everything in the room fly into the air and some of the wall paper was even torn off. Ava asked, "Who should we bring back?" Jobe said the name of the first person that popped into his mind. "Elijah!" The light got brighter and filled the whole house. The light went away and Elijah was now standing where the small box was. Jobe and the others went to hug Elijah except for Ava. She was still sad that her best friend had been killed earlier, but she knew that wherever Ella was, was better than here. That is why she didn't choose to bring her back.
They now had the next death challenge key and would have to now vote two people into the death challenge again. They all agreed that none of them would vote for Elijah since he had just came back and that would be unfair. Elijah, Nene, Ava, and Jobe went to the foyer to discuss who they wanted to vote for. They decided on brodie and lily. After about 5 minutes of discussion, Soterio told them it was time to vote, and they all went back to the lobby room. "The two people going into the death challenge are... Brodie, and Lily." "I think we should go in because me and you haven't been in a death challenge all night." Lily said. "Yeah I guess, but I don't want to be the cause of your death! You're my best friend!" Brodie said. "There's no other way, we have to go." Lily said. They walked up to the room with its key and unlocked it. Inside of the room was Dracula. He explained what they would have to do to escape. They would have to go through the maze in front of them. They had 20 minutes to get to the end. At the end was a wooden stake. Whoever grabbed it first would survive and the other would be killed. When the other person was dead they would have to get the stake and stab Dracula in his heart. The timer started and they went into the maze. They made turns and twists, and went all around the maze, but Brodie came out of the maze with the stake. Dracula went into the maze and bit into Lily's neck. Another one gone, five to go. As he headed out of the maze. Brodie ran after him with the stake and stabbed him in the heart with it. He disintegrated into a black glowing powder that flew into the air, out of existence. The Mythic stone was on the floor. Brodie went back down to the lobby room to go put the stone into the box.
