ARCAN
It had been a whole night since I let the boy stay in my home. Despite that, I haven't spoke to him once. Well, that was until this morning.
Because I didn't know what he liked I decided to ask the chef to make the child anything a child would eat. Well, with the extra note of making the food light. God knows how long that child had been on the streets. With how Calisto made it sound there is no doubt that it wasn't a short time.
With that thought I hear a small pitter patter echo on the floor making me smile a little at the thought of a child no less, entering the kitchen. and one of coarse did.
There he was. Stopped right at the door frame that stopped right next to the refrigerator. I slightly cringe as I saw he was still wearing his dirty clothes from yesterday but I still try and put up a smile.
"Hey" I say in a soft tone.He doesn't respond at first but then I hear a light 'hello' come from his mouth. He never moves away from the door frame though. Well, until Calisto pushes him in.
"Hey, kid don't act so scared were just eating breakfast. Right ,Arcan?"
I look around at the several plates of food. confused but was responsive as a hmmed a 'yeah' while shoving waffles down my throat.Callisto rolled his eyes but had a small, yet not noticeable, smile on his face. They both then sat down and Callisto started to eat away. Aggressively might I add.
I try to ignore it as I look at the boy and I give him an awkward smile before speaking to him.
"Your name is Noelle correct?" I asked. the boy stayed silent but shook his head yes."Callisto seemed to like the name, watch out we might end up having two Noelle in this house-" I paused at my last statement realizing what I said. Even making Calisto pause his eating. I quickly try to cover my words.
"I- Anyway would you like to some of Nina's great 'A' cooking? your missing out. Her pancakes are to die for and her smoked meats are *molto sorprendente"
Noelle once again stayed silent but this one was a lot longer as it seemed it was him deciding if he wanted to take the risk. Wouldn't blame him. I myself wouldn't trust someone who I've known for less than a day.
But by no surprised he slowly starts to grab his fork and pick away at the trays in the middle of our small table.
Be didn't take much. nothing more than two small sausages, 3 spoonful of eggs, and a hash brown. But I didn't mind. As long as he was eating, that's what truly matter to me.
The rest of the breakfast was silent. Which wasn't normal for Callisto and I, but It would feel kind of rude for us to talk and pretend the child wasn't there at all. So for us we thought it would be best to say silent. Well, for the time being.

After the breakfast we had sent the child back to the room we gave him. Callisto and I start to speak and he of coarse brought up the thing I dreadfully wanted to forget.
"So what the hell was that?" he asked. he was smirking so I knew were he was going with this.
"What was what?"
"watch out we might end up having two Noelle in this house!" He mocked me.
I winced as I here my words quoted back to me.
"it was an accident" I tried to excuse " a minor mistake""Hmm, I don't think so" He starts walking in front of me but backwards, making sure he continue to look me straight in the eyes. "I think- I think you want to adopt him"
