When I arrived at my room, I began to pack a bag with things I must have and needed to survive. I also had enough money on me just in case I decided to stay at places for a while and keep a low profile. I got changed out of my dress into a long-sleeved blue denim top and leggings and black closed-in shoes; I then took off my crown and placed it in the middle of my bed. I then grabbed my black hooded jacket and put it over my blue denim long-sleeved top, and pulled the hood over and on top of my head so that no one will recognise me.
I then went to my nook and opened up one of the windows and looked down 'shit, that is a long way down', I thought to myself, feeling the wind blow through my hair that was underneath the hood of my jacket 'oh well no turning back now' I swung my bag over my shoulder taking a deep breath before then leaping out of my window with my eyes tightly shut. Before I knew it, I felt the ground underneath me. I opened my eyes to see that I had made it safely down; I looked up from where I jumped before turning and sprinting away into the night, not looking back.
After what felt like hours of running away from my home, I came to a slight stop at a dark, eerie opening that was surrounded by a sea of trees that were burning, 'This must be the ancient fire Forrest where the trees here forever burn for eternity but never perish' I thought to myself as I found a nice spot that was hidden from anyone's view and sat down pulling out one of the cool blood bags that I made sure I packed and began snacking on it.
I then looked around at my surroundings, wondering what the rest of the underworld looked like, as I had never explored it in person before; I only knew about the underworld through the stories I had read back at home in the library on what and who to avoid if ever I came into contact.
When I finished the blood bag, I then let it disintegrate into thin air while watching with a small smile form upon my face along with a small laugh. I was then interrupted by a calm yet unsettling voice that sounded so close " wow, that was sooo cool!" I turned to see who the voice belonged to but had no luck. I sat up straight and demanded who it was to show themselves immediately or else " who's there? Show yourself at once..or else."
then out of nowhere a small figure appeared in front of me " OK OK chill, I'm sorry.." the figure turned out to be a small demon girl with mid-short strawberry pink hair that she wore in two little ponytails, she also wore a black dress with a white collar that had bats on them, a black choker around her neck, black leggings with black platform shoes, she also wore black mesh small gloves on her hands and on top of her head were devil horns that were a deep red colour with some red and black roses around them, she even had a medium-long devil tail.
The small devil girl looked to be a young girl. "I know what you're probably thinking but trust me, I'm not a child, I'm twenty-three years old, but due to my height, yeah, I look like I could come across as a kid" She began to say "oh, it was that obvious on what I was thinking hey?" I had replied back to her, which she just smiled and laughed it off "hey, no probs, I'm Ràinà by the way" she replied with her hand reading out as she greeted me.
I looked at her for a split second before then smiling and holding out my hand to grab hers and shook it "I'm Livana" I replied back. The demon girl's eyes shot wide "omg; you have the same name as the princess!" I laughed a bit while smiling " well...." and before I could continue she gasped and bowed her head "Gah, I'm so sorry! How rude of me; it is an honour to meet you, your highness."
I stopped her from bowing any longer "oh please, no need to bow" Ràinà then looked up with a confused look on her face "but we are all taught, every demon that lives in the underworld, to bow in respect, if we are ever in the presence of royalty" she explained. "Really?" I began to say looking a bit confused as she nodded her head "Yes, if we don't, there are consequences we face" She looked away, looking over at the horizon.
"Well, I'm here to explore, as I have ran away from my home as they are forcing me to marry a person I don't like; besides, I'm not ready for marriage I want to keep exploring what lays beyond the palace walls, as everything from the outside has so much to offer" Ràinà turned back to look at me at what I had said with a small shocked but sad expression on her face.
"I see; well, I guess I could be your guide to show you these parts of the underworld, but also, you must know and be aware that most people here in the underworld aren't so nice and punish anyone who interferes in their business. But of course, if they knew who you were oo then they would be begging for their lives for forgiveness" I looked at Ràinà's face as she said those words, which I then smiled slightly before then standing up and swinging my bag over my shoulder.
"Ok, lead the way" I said; Ràinà then smiled, holding up her hands that were in the form of fists close to her body "OK! let's go, but make sure you stay close and no wondering off" I smiled while I followed her "ok, ok, I'll try, but I can't promise that I won't wonder off if something amazing catches my eye" I replied as we then headed towards the city ready to start exploring all of the underworld.
'I can't wait to see what the rest of the underworld looks like and how the people live; I know some of them truly have it hard and try their best while others, including me, have it really easy' I sighed low at my thoughts of the people from the underworld. However, still, I'm hopeful that one day I can help turn their lives around as they have been cast aside and forgotten almost, but when I'm queen, I will make sure they have it a way lot easier and that we all can hopefully one day, in some way be equals.
