Shizuo ripped a street sign from the ground, holding it above his head, growling in anger before throwing the object at the raven. "Izaya!!"
Izaya tilted his head and sidestepped out of the way. "Really, Shizu-chan, I honestly expected better from you. I know you've never been able to catch me, but with that kind of throw, you never will."
Shizuo gritted his teeth and ripped a sign from the ground. "Flea!!" The informant dashed down the street with laughter when Shizuo lunged at him.
Izaya turned his head back, grinning.
"Izayaaaa!!" Shizuo chased Izaya down every back alley, and soon, they were heading toward Shinjuku. Once they ran down another off-side road, now alone, Izaya stopped and whipped around with his switchblade and cut across Shizuo's chest. Shizuo stumbled back, growled in anger, gritted his teeth, pulled back his fist quickly, and punched Izaya in the face. Izaya flew back with a grunt and landed on a nearby bench, and the object split in half upon impact. Shizuo stared at him for a second. Shit.
Izaya moved to sit up with a hiss. "...You really hit me, I mean, you actually punched me. That was - over the top, don't you think..." Izaya glared up at Shizuo. "Are you just going to stand there gawking at me, or are you at least going to help me up?"
Shizuo snapped out of his daze. He hadn't meant to strike him. "Shit, Izaya, I'm sorry. I guess I got caught up in the moment, but you did cut me, ya know." He looked around to check for privacy before grabbing Izaya's hand and pulling him up. "Are you hurt?"
Izaya sneered. "Well, put it this way, if the bench wasn't so old, my back might have fractured, but apart from a bruised cheek and a split lip, I'm-" Shizuo cut him off with a kiss, tasting the blood on his tongue.
"You're kind of dramatic sometimes, you know that? But I didn't mean to hit you so hard, sorry."
"Don't be." Izaya grinned at him, gesturing to the cut on the blond's chest. "I'm not."
Shizuo rolled his eyes. "Tsk, figures."
Izaya chuckled. "Don't be like that. It's so we can see each other without anyone knowing about us, right?" Izaya started to walk away.
"That was your idea, not mine." Shizuo began to follow.
One month had passed, and the incident with Shizuo's arrest had been forgotten.
Izaya sat on his swivel chair, fingers quickly tapping over the keyboard as he logged into his chatroom.
Kanra: Evening!
Tara: Hey Kanra, I haven't seen you on here lately.
Kanra: I've been a little busy. Did you all hear about the Ueno gang?
Tara: What?
Kanra: Disbanded.
Tara: Seriously? For real?
Kanra: For real.
Tara: They caused some heavy stuff against some other gang, right?
Kanra: That's right, and just like that, boom! Completely disbanded.
A pm message popped up on Izaya's end.
Tara: Did you do that?
Kanra - maaaaybe.
Tara: I see...
Kanra: The dollars weren't involved. For once, it had nothing to do with them at all.
